Hey guys! It's about time we tackle another eeveelution! In this video we take on the psychic Pokemon Espeon! I hope you enjoy!

Eevee-lutions are a combination of a bunch of cute animals including cats, foxes and corgis. Though there actually was a nuzlock where they wanted to do an all dogs run and ended up ranking the Eevee-lutions on a sliding scale of dog to cat. Can't remember which channel it was but personally I think Espeon is more cat than fox/dog.
Yeah, they definitely remind me of a Nekomata, which is a Japanese Yokai in the form of a fork-tailed/2-tailed domestic cat

For a future video, could you make a hatchling T. rex? According to the latest studies, they were most likely super small and fluffy, with much leaner and daintier proportions compared to the adults. Imagine something like a duckling with an elongated lizard face, a long tail, emu legs, and arms with 2 fingered hands instead of wings. Or maybe just look at the baby rexes from Prehistoric Planet.

@@Zeenomoth_Gzxpho Yeah, the scene from Prehistoric Planet where the baby T. rexes are on the beach and playing around really shows how cute they are, then you see them next to their dad and you realize that if they're lucky enough, they'll grow up to be the largest land predator that's ever lived.

Btw, I think Eevee can really just be anything. From some sources I’ve seen, the reason it can evolve into multiple pokemon is because of it’s unstable DNA, so how could you expect it to stay as one species?

Espeon from what i remember is based on a nekomata or the fork-tailed cat from Japanese mythology. They are supposed to be a mix of fox/canine/kind of kitty for the rest of them.
Editing to add: okay because people want to argue this with me and point out features. The Japanese made a bobtail cat very long ago because they were afraid of the bakeneko that will eventually turn into the nekomata. Especially if they were decidedly mean to their cat. Stay with me now. The cat's tail would grow over time in its lifetime it is said in the myth. Eventually they become a bakeneko or a very long tailed cat. They can be benevolent and kind.
Oh how they can be kind but if you were mean or cruel they will also be cruel. After a while their tail will split down the middle and eventually they will have two tails. This would make them a nekomata like the split tail look of Espeon. THIS is why I think it's a mix of fox and nekata.

@@user-hm7kp8ew3c I feel that. If they were real me and a Sylveon would get along pretty well and yeah. I think it's the ears that get you. It may be a mix of nekomata (fork tail cat) and a fennec fox
I only know Pokemon by proxy (I have three children ranging from 25 to 11 and they all loved them some Pocket Monsters), but Eevee and her eeveelutions have always first reminded me of foxes. I do love folklore, and a lot of the eeveelutions remind me of Kitsune. However, Espeon makes me think of the two tailed cat yokai Nekomata. Staying with the fox theme though, fennec foxes are adorable and the ones that I've seen as pets kinda remind me of forever-kittens with their spazzy energy and antics.

Espeon always reminded me of a cat. :) The way it walks and the way it swishes its tail gives it away haha.
I have always thought the eevees were based off of foxes. However some sources say they also have some cat, dog, or bunny like features. Regardless, they are all too cute!

Eevee and the eeveeloutions are usually accepted to be based off of either a fox (Eevee, Jolteon, Umbreon) or a cat (Espeon, Glaceon, Flareon, Vaporeon), depending on the form. Eevees are most closely similar to that of cats but could be argued they are a mix of cat, rabbit and fox.

According to Motofumi Fujiwara, he drew from vague childhood memories including an instance where he became lost in a forest and "encountered an undefinable creature." He likened his early design for Eevee to "a fluffy cat or dog-like creature one would see in the country."

Also Espeon is absolutely fox, all the way down. Foxes are basically halfway cats anyway, so it makes sense that they come off catty.

I personally see the eeveelutions as a mix of cat and fox, and the amount of which can depend on which eeveelution you’re talking about.

Espeon is based off of some depictions of a creature called a Carbuncle. If you have played Final Fantasy or watched Yu-Gi-Oh GX you may recognize the resemblance. The Nekomata is also an inspiration for Espeon's design. Also, all Eeveelutions primarily share traits of foxes and/or cats.
3:22 I like to think that eevee is a mix between a cat and a fox because eevee and its evolutions have both fox features and cat features.

Eevee is mostly based on a dog, cat and rabbit. Hope that maybe helped. Also Kaypea is the most creative person ever.

edit: the fennic vs cat vs dog debate - they are based on fennic foxes as far as eevee is concerned, but i think espion is a cat fox mix because of the bake de neko and other cat yokai w/ 2 tails
