NTR, MGR are great. But they got a bit more national recognition for their talents, only because they went into politics, in later life. Dr.Rajkumar being a great actor and singer also, unfortunately Hindia did not recognize him as much as he deserve. The same case with ANR, Sivaji and Prem Nazir. We need India. Not Hindia. Only Amitabs and Khans get recognition in India. Even Chiranjeevi, Rajinikanth are remained as South Indian Superstars only after working for a life time. Mahesh, you have got it all wrong. SPB has never sung for Dr.Rajkumar except for a few background songs. It has always been PBS till 1974. Moreover Rajkumar has sung a few songs in his early years of filmy life much before PBS started singing for him. It wasn't his decesion to sing when PBS was not available. Infact he was prepared to wait till PBS could return. It was under the request of G.K.Venkatesh and Ilayaraja that he sang that famous song in 1974 which led him to sing for all his films. However he made sure that till PBS could retain his voice, he was given a regular flow of songs to sing for him. Rajkumar could retain his voice because he was practising an Asana called SimhaAsana. No songs were difficult for him. Naadhamaya song is a perfect example for his singing prowess.
