@@Starkardur Lots of idiots get Emmys. She is on a whole other level. I couldn't believe she didn't have years and years of acting training. Perhaps that gave her an advantage. The way she absorbs moods and characters and expresses them with such veracity in Killing Eve is utterly unnerving. She obliterates the entire cast, all of which are competent actors. I just hope she doesn't get pompous. That would be so sad.

I don't understand why Sandra gets all the praise, Jodie is the real star. What she does with Villanelle is AMAZING. Not to mention she's a wiz at accents. I would have never guessed this is how she really speaks.

I’ve never heard her real voice before and oh my god oh my god, she’s so good at all her Villanelle accents, I presumed that one of the accents she did was her real one, but no, she was acting brilliantly for each accent!

BBC iPlayer just suggested I watch "Thirteen" ... which turns out to be a mystery thriller where Jodie stars as a kidnap victim who escaped 13 years of captivity in a cellar.

Either you don't know how mirroring works, or you haven't watched it all that closely. She is not mirroring his movements. There was a bit of mirroring towards the end, but it was him mirroring her, not the other way round.
Also, doing something subconsciously doesn't make one a pro. Not that mirroring someone makes one a pro anyway, it's normally a sign of good positive connection between two people.

Jodie Comer is such a great actress. I have seen her in 3 different shows so far and I'm pretty sure she can do anything.
About talking positive to yourself be your own guardian angel too. Both are helpful. Talk yourself up and also be your own guardian angel. You know yourself better than anyone else. Save yourself if it's going wrong don't wait for someone else to save you.

Jodie is one of the most talented actresses of this generation.
I love her outfits inside and outside of filming! Especially this one, she looks so comfy wearing the outfit and her eyeliner slaaays!
I will never get tired of looking at her
I've been around the block a few times, and am as cynical as they come.
However, when a once-in-a-generation talent like Jodie Comer hits
you between the eyes, it's hard not to acknowledge its impact.
While I'm certainly not one to bandy about praise willy-nilly, I have no doubt
this extraordinary actress deserves the 'genius' tag. I only discovered her recently
(Killing Eve), but have read/listened any number of reviews, dating back to her early work
(early work? I mean, she's barely 26!).
One reviewer hit the nail on the head (name escapes me), writing (words to this effect, as I have no direct quotes) that her compelling presence and superlative gifts would, in any case, overshadow any deficiencies in a script, or other shortcomings, such as other actors
not measuring up, or being miscast. High praise indeed!
Not to rub salt in any wounds, but here's one instance of why this show is not perfect (Oh dear!); I think Sandra Oh is miscast. As is her husband. And I'm not entirely sure of their acting ability either; the sequences between the 2 in Series 2 are, in my humble opinion, the weakest scenes.
Sandra Oh may be many other things, but she, as Eve Polastri, certainly doesn't come across as the sexy, sensual, brilliant, charismatic, charming, beguiling, quirky and daunting adversary of Villanelle, despite the fact that the stilted script enjoins us to believe this. The fact she's received acting awards for her role in series 1 in the US redoubles my cynicism.
In interviews, she comes across as overbearing, OTT, verbose, and flaky, all tell-tale
signs of someone who isn't sure of herself, but wishes to hide this. Jodie, on the other hand, is perfectly natural and humble, and seemingly grounded (at such a young age!), surely signs of someone who has found an inner equilibrium.
Maybe Sandra's "creative dream work" (whatever that may be -Wikipedia) is not all it's made out to be?
While Eve's fascination with Villanelle makes perfect sense, Villanelle's with her doesn't.
And of course what makes Villanelle so compelling a character in this context (haven't read the book), is Jodie's uncanny ability to make us like, if not identify, with her portrayal of a psychopathic killer. How does she manage this? Well, I think the answer's pretty simple.
We have, here, a multi-talented actress, whose understanding of the character she plays is multi-layered. Who knows, it may be possible, when you're as brilliant as her, to see redeeming qualities, even in Villanelle, who by all accounts is irredeemably evil? I mean Villanelle, is playful, witty, funny, mischievous, by turns. And also mercilessly cruel. It's almost as if Jodie's playing with the role, as she acts, wondering maybe how such psychic divisions could possibly exist in one person? And then of course, there's her ineffable beauty, which in someone so talented, must be a mirror of her soul.
I mean, she herself says she loves Villanelle, or is it that she loves playing her? Don't know, and would it make a blind bit of difference?

This was just what I needed after having watched the Killing Eve finale.
I really loved watching her on Killing Eve season one and Two though her character is not pleasant she maybe a psychopath but she has the ability too also understand people' feelings Villanelle can do amazing facial expressions which really can be sweet and innocence , I love the accents she uses Jodie playing Villanelle .
