This one time I was at my family cabin in the middle of nowhere Montana. It was late at night but I desperately wanted to go on the lake one last time as it was really pretty. I got in a paddle board and went into the middle of the lake, dude it was wild. Cold mist rolling through the trees and in the edges of the lake. All I could see was the mountains making a bowl shape. Felt like I was just on a small asteroid In space. Oh and it was pretty overcast with light sprinkles of rain, but the moon was full and lit the whole area. Wild never forget that night.
Your feeling of being on an asteroid in space wasnt far off from the truth when you think about it. Those moments are so rare and even more incredible when they happen...when you become isolated in just the right setting that it reminds you that you are on a PLANET. We always classify our location in a practical way for it to inform other people, "I'm in Montana" or "I'm in this mountain range" or "I'm on this lake". But when the environment is just right, and our mindset is just right, we can slow down and not only remember, but FEEL and EXPERIENCE the truth with all our senses... that we really are on a rock hurdling through space, a planet. A place just as amazing and as alien as any other exoplanet discovered by astronomers light years away. And it really takes your breath away and leaves a mark on your memory when it happens.
Yesterday I went into a forest near my new neighborhood for the first time. In the night. There were a lot of people because it wasn't that late yet and a lot of lightposts because there's a passage from a train station going through the forest. But I turned off the main path and went on a path with no lights. It was the blackest and vastest place I've ever seen in my life. I stood completely alone and everything was so dark I couldn't see how far the path was going, it seemed endless. But I could tell that the forest was deep and I was at the only clear space of it. I felt so small. It was like a universe opened up in front of me and offered me a glimpse of its eternal beauty and power. It was really a biblical experience, my heart was going off. I plan on going there again but this time I'll take my earbuds to listen to this while I'm there. Also I'll take someone from my family with me for safety.
There's two ways to look at it, similar to a glass half full, and a glass half empty. You can view the universe as one big entity, all apart of it, all in a unison that is chaotic. You, you are apart of the universe, as you and your species spawned from contents in and vibrating in the universe with the rest of it. You aren't small in the universe but rather apart of the universe. In fact you're a conscious part of the universe looking back on itself. This would be glass half full kind of view. Or, you can be glass half empty. View yourself as a separate entity, and feel alone in and small compare to its vast ever growing size.

There are sooo many different ways I can think of this song. On one hand it’s kinda like the infinite space, and how insignificant you are. Like there’s just a force that transcends your mind and is completely overpowering. On the other hand I can also interpret it as wonder at the vast universe and creation, the huge galaxies and nebulas and the colors all around. Another though is that it’s after a huge apocalypse, and your looking over the desolate earth where it’s just you now with modern ruins and cities abandoned. It can also sound like the last moments before like a meteor kills you or a gamma ray or some cosmic force which you can’t escape. These are just a few, there’s so many feelings this song gives, realization, anxiety, wonder, isolation, and it’s just incredible

There are sooo many different ways I can think of this song.
On one hand it’s kinda like the infinite space, and how insignificant you are. Like there’s just a force that transcends your mind and is completely overpowering.
On the other hand I can also interpret it as wonder at the vast universe and creation, the huge galaxies and nebulas and the colors all around.
Another though is that it’s after a huge apocalypse, and your looking over the desolate earth where it’s just you now with modern ruins and cities abandoned.
It can also sound like the last moments before like a meteor kills you or a gamma ray or some cosmic force which you can’t escape. These are just a few, there’s so many feelings this song gives, realization, anxiety, wonder, isolation, and it’s just incredible
