As someone who was a teenager and a high schooler back when Bamboo came out and made it big, covering any of their songs (and doing it right) was a big flex. It separated the pa-pogi bands from the legit ones lol.

Super agree sir. High-school days ko. Boom na boom talaga. Saka parang sa Bamboo(Band) ulit nagstart mabuhay ang Opm rock band nung 2000's.
Naalala ko, sa Myx documentary about opm bands, sabi ng other bands as well, iba talaga ang dating or galing ng Bamboo(Band). Na parang sakanila ulit nag-start. Sabi nga ng isanb myembro ng Cueshe Band, "BAMBOO(BAND) PAVED THE WAY". Sakanila ulit nag start.
Andito sa RUclips yung documentary na un.
Favorite band ko talaga Bamboo nun High-school ako, plus Die hard Francisco Mañalac fan ako. Sana magkaron din sila ng reunion, ngayon ok na si Bamboo at Nathan.

The why I look Bamboo is like a Project Band na it happens it work out so well and become very popular . They had a pretty successful run almost 10yrs !

In my opinion, Rivermaya reunion was a business. I have noticed to their interviews prior to the said reunion, ilap si Azarcon and di masyado sincere mga sagot niya. It just what I had noticed. But hopefully the reunion for the band Bamboo would materialize.

Nakakatuwa na very objective ang approach niya sa mga atists of today unlike others na porket hindi na nila trip yng tugtugan or ang gingawa ng ibang arist e pinipintasan na nila agad.

I remember pa nung nandito sila nagja-jam sa subdivision namin, naabutan ko yung song na hallelujah di pa tapos yung rap metal part niya, madaling araw naririnig ko na yung song from intro hanggang chorus. Sobrang swerte ko lang as a normal person, kasi kapitbahay namin sila, si Vic Mercado naka-harley davidsons na big bike, si Sir Ira nakikita ko lang sa pinto ng bahay, si Bamboo I saw him nagpupunas ng shotgun sa harap ng bahay while si Nathan, nakasabayan ko bumili ng sampaguita strings dun sa may tindahan malapit. hehe :D Ngayon wala na yung bahay na purple, naging tayler siya na may volkswagen na car. :D hehe

I don't have to tell the exact house, since for sure meron nang nakatira don ngayon, and for their own privacy narin. Ganyan din sinabi ni Mark Escueta na what happens off-stage is just as important if not more important than onstage. Parokya aminado nila na theyre not the best musicians pero they have a very stable lineup kasi matibay samahan nila

Naalala ko dati mga 2003 sa MTV Philippines may Music Summit for HIV/Aids awareness na pinapalabas sa TV. Ang daming bands. Tapos biglang meron isang band or solo artist ang pangalan Bamboo kinanta yung Awit Ng Kabataan. Grabe yung reaction ng mga tao tumatalon lahat as in lahat. Sila lang yata ginanon don.
Tapos later on narinig ko ulit yung kanta sa isang CD kanta nga pala ng Rivermaya iyon at sabi ko grabe ang galing naman nung nag cover dun sa MTV kuhang kuha nya. 😂

time always heals... nathan and bambs were able to smooth out their differences and awkwardness.. ofcourse a lot of money was on the line. Same case with Eraserheads, most of them aren't really friends but they always jell musically.

An interesting question could have been is was ABS CBN part of the Bamboo disbandment? dun sa list of reasons ni Bamboo, factored in na kaya dun na inofferan sya nf ABS?
I can still remember up to this day the time Bamboo the band disbanded, it was December 2010. Usually the band has a scheduled Christmas event for us fans "Believers fans" but it didn't happened, their last gig was for the benefit concert for Angee Rozul, and then there's a rumor surrounding that the band has disbanded according to KC Montero and in January 2011, when Bamboo uploaded a letter on their website to confirm the breakup and @55:15 Ira's "love letter" for the fans was also uploaded on the website after Bamboo, we didn't hear from Nathan and Vic. And then HIJO the band was born and they released their first single Tamalee.
I attended Tanduay’s T5 concert back in November 2010 and Bamboo the band was the last to perform. I noticed medyo di na ganun ka in synch sila sa stage. Wala masyadong interaction and you can see the chemistry was different from the last time I saw them play live. Nung I heard they disbanded, it answered my question and wasnt totally surprised. Sayang that was really a good superband! Vic Mercado was consistently winning as the best drummer year after year. So underrated.

Bamboo's namesake band, was, along with the Trip/Atomic Bomb era Rivermaya, one of his best bands he had been into. Songs like Noypi, Hallelujah and Kailan launched a more heavier and mature Bamboo into the spotlight. It would have been more awesome if the Rivermaya setlist included a Bamboo medley of the 3 songs mentioned above.

Pero kung ilalapag lahat ng achievements nila, daig pa nila mga banda na nag ilang dekada na sa industriya. Kung magkakareunion man sila tiyak, dudumugin yan ng fans. Kasi opposite ang Maya sa Bamboo. Kaya ibang taste. If tama pagkakaalala ko, very unique nga yung kasikatan ng Bamboo the band nung time nila compared sa mga kasabayan nila. PnE and Kazee were famous for being "kengkoy" tas Spongecola and Callalily were famous for being "pogi rock". Yung Bamboo sumikat talaga sa songwriting and instruments
