I remember there was a website a few years ago that offered a similar thing, but it would email you the section each day. That's gone now so I'm glad there's something else to replace it!
Apps that don't bombard you with ads or requests to sign up are so rare it feels like! And I loved your performative reading skit - it made me laugh out loud 😋
Thank you for this excellent review! I’m not sure how this video made it to my recommendations, but I’m delighted. Not only am I downloading this app, but I hit the subscribe button for your channel immediately.
I never took a philosophy course at university…I could see this app feeding me chunks of classic philosophical works as a start to rounding out my education.
I’ve had this app for a while and not tried it out, but I may well do now! Great to see a user friendly free reading app that isn’t covered in adverts!
I've added the app to my phone today after seeing this to have a play with it too because, as you say, for all the big hitters that are available there's some really obscure stuff too. Thanks for the experiment and the masterclass in performative reading... ;) (And, for the sake of the almighty algorithm's insatiable need for 'social glyphs': 📖)
My sister - who is a voracious reader - has used this app. It was how she got through Anna Karenina. I don't know that she's used it a lot, but she did like it! I could see how it could be particularly useful to get through a difficult book, or a genre you're not comfortable - like poetry, as you said. Or if you have a hard time finding time to read. Or...just cos you like it!
While I'm also not the target group, it looks a lot of fun. I will give it a try to maybe discover classics which aren't on my radar and do something productive if I just have to kill time on my phone.
I do not like reading on my phone, the print is too small. And besides, the light goes off all the time if it stays on one place. Tablets are worse. If it reads to me, then I would like it

Thank you very much for the Review. I am going to check out the app
This sounds good! I'm going to check it out too! 😊
I'm giving it a try. I'm starting with Jack London's _The Road._

How have I had his app for years and didn't know you could change the font??? SMH
Thanks for letting me know about this app. I will give it a try-maybe this time I will actually finish O Pioneers by Willa Cather.
Thanks so much!
Carmila is great. It was written by an author who lived close to where I live in Ireland. Enjoy.🧛♀️
What?!?! Lesbian Vampires?!?! Sign me up!😂
