Nice review! I have the original ADHX and while I was kind of annoyed it was originally sold as 38-40mm tire clearance, and Time changed their marketing to say 35-38mm upon release of the ADHX 45, I absolutely bloody love it. It's so comfortable to ride, handles so well, AND LOOKS SO GOOD (I have the original clear-coat green version). 10/10 would buy again.
I love mine. Coming from a steel bike, it is just as comfortable with the added speed of the carbon/dyneema. It’s an amazing all road bike. A really fun bike with 700x43 Gravelking slick tires
These seem like a great bike. Reviewers tend to say Time bikes ride smoothly. I prefer a more road-like gravel bike like this one. I also like the relative practicality. BB386 is one of the better press-fit standards and Time supposedly makes one of the best ones in the industry. The regular seat post clamp is great to see, especially as they did a good job integrating it into the look. Lastly, the ability to use a wide variety of third-party integrated front end setups is great to see. Basically everyone is going to build this up with a wireless drivetrain and hydraulic brakes, so integration is not really a downside. This seems like a bike meant to last years.
I am not a fan of carbon bikes but if i was to get one this would be it. The way they build the frame is unique and feel like it would last the test of time
Hi, I notice that you have an FSA ACR headset on the ADHX45 that comes with a Deda S-DCR kit. Did you only change the Deda top cover for an FSA one? Or the whole headset? Have a nice day
Hello, this bike has an entire FSA ACR system including the headset. Being a review bike, sometimes the specification can be a little different vs consumer. Thank you.
Have you had the chance to ride the enve mog? I’m considering the adhx 45 for a do it all bike with two wheel sets. I race gravel but then do 60% road rides when I’m not racing. This seems like a bike to do it all bike? Any other comparisons to other bikes?
Time started making road pedals and shoes in 1987, but frames appeared only in the noughties IIRC; the agent had demo frames in Sydney in 2006 and they were quite new then.
Just curious, how tall are you and what is your inseam? Clearly you went for a little smaller frame with setback post and 110 stem for a little more drop. I just got an ADHX (regular) for mostly road. Riding 32 tires. I went for a little larger frame with no setback on post and 90 stem to have a less aggressive drop (I have a bad neck). The build quality is phenomenal. Thanks for the review.
Hello there... 5'11", 32" inseam. I will always use a smaller frame where possible, easy to make a smaller frame bigger so to speak, vs the opposite. However, there is a point which you illustrate, where a longer headtube will work, vs excessive spacers, and so on. Enjoy the ADHX, equally as nice as the ADHX 45.
I’m 5’10” 31” inseam. Went for medium. Reach (most important to me in fit) is good. Stand over is a little high (I am used to sloping top tube/compact). Drop is good for me. Love the fact that Time will work with the buyer with bar size (40), crank (170), stem (90), wheel choice (Zipp 303s), components((SRAM Force), 1x crank with 42 chainring, also added power meter. The Time rep really worked with me on the phone. Oh and I got the green which is sweet. They didn’t have 32mm tires but did have 28 or 35. I used my own. I also added an Ergon suspension seatpost.
This is a sweet ride. This would be the one if I was in the market. $6k with mechanical GRX 2x; I wonder if the shifting is OK with the cables thru the stem?
I imagine there is a way to build this bike semi-integrated, where the housings / cables are not routed through the handlebar and stem. It would require a special headset top cap to allow everything to pass through the inside of the bearings. This is how Trek handled integration on their latest Domane.
Bro I have the ADHX (35) and they should weave the TIME logo on the downtube with red or green Kevlar like the red or green Kevlar fibers in the steerer tube
The industry introduced shock suspension into the offroad bicycles years ago for the reason of offering the ability to ride faster and better control. How did that concept get lost? I would choose a Cross Country bike over a Gravel bike any day of the week. Gravel bikes beat the crap out of you and don't have the control like a Cross Country bike. At least that is my experience.
I reside in the USA most of the time, but typically like to visit my Aussie homeland once a year. However, due to Covid lockdowns, there was a four year gap from this visit, and my last.
I wonder if time would make a frame without the ugly top tube bag mount. Way to ruin an otherwise super clean looking bike, or any road/cross bike imo.

what's the biggest tire you think you can fit in your ADHX?
@@Chris_Rides_Bikes You cannot have any better build bike than TIME.
Beautiful bike and riding locations. Thanks Jom

I have an ADHX 45 coming soon (once my LBS finally gets it built)
This video confirms that I made the right choice.
You are going to love this bike.

Test of time, nice.
love your channel and hello from a wet Brisbane
Thanks Nick, love Brissy, it's been too long since my last visit. Originally from ADL here.
Absolutely DIG the cool “Dark Speed Works” aero top tube bag! Where can I get one like yours? The bike is pretty darn sweet as well, of course.
Hello there, I posted the link to Dark Speed Works in the video description. However, visit darkspeedworks.com and tell them GC sent you :)

Minor details.
It is really hard to find time bicycles for sale in Sydney
Ironically, where I took the cover photo.
I know Jom is not going to answer this question, but gonna ask it anyways. If you had to choose...would it be the TIME or the T-Lab X3?
Hi Peter.... JOM wouldn't choose, he would have both. :)
@@GravelCyclistThat's what I thought😉
what the largest chainring that can be ran with a 2x setup?
Off the top of my head, I don't know... drop a line to Time to visit their website, perhaps it is posted there. Thank you.
i dont like disc brakes. any option with V brakes ?
Negative, no rim brakes for this Time ADHX 45.
You may have not been happy about having to return the bike, but Tuesday is. More attention from you.

I'm 6'3" with 34" inseam and bought an XL with straight seatpost and 120mm stem. I really wish I'd bought a setback post and will eventually switch.

All of these comments illustrate how everyone's fit is unique, good stuff. I never buy into manufacturer's recommended sizes.
So iam 5.9" tall, very long legs. Which size would you recommend? S or M?
Please speak to your bike fitter, I do not make bike fitting suggestions. Thank you.

How often do you travel back and forth from AUS to US?

How would you compare this to the Allied Echo?
More tire / tyre clearance.
How do you feel it compares to your T-Lab?
Both have their merits, one is Ti, the other is Carbon. I generally don't think about comparisons too often. Thank you.
I like ADHD bike
Giant weaves their own carbon.
Time is far superior to that garbage brand.
🤣🤣🤣

@@GravelCyclist Not what carbon repair experts who actually understand carbon engineering say.
I was referring to more than just the carbon engineering.
Nice one JOM

What is the "Marginal Gains" you mentioned, .000000001%. 🤣🤣
It is .0000000000000000001% haha, but 100% PITA if you need to change headset bearings.

Remove bag, plug holes, end of problem.
Why size small?
