speak on it!
No he ain’t. At all. Janky af.
Real spill
Warren G G-Funk a little while ago with the one that has the new
@@ewhite6705 smh. Thats what's wrong with the black community now. Its people like you. Talkin down on your people thats doing better than you.
Everybody needs a friend like this! He manifest the level/calm we look for in life.
facts
Salute to the legend Warren G✌️☝️🤟4life!
I know right
Warren G is so humble, never a bad word said about him.
Warren G had the smoothest voice and beats on all his albums. I loved Dope Beat, Lovin’ Me Now, Smokin’ Me Out… I could go on. Every time I hear The Shack, I feel like no other beat is comparable to that song. Much love to Warren and for providing a unique sound that hasn’t been duplicated.
Whats love is also good
We want Yo Hands Up, the entire Twinz album, Still Can't Fade It off of the Show soundtrack...
This Dj was my favorite
Prince IGOR
my favourites are this dj, what's next, recognize, regulate
even though that super smooth shit doesn't even really resonate with me. dove shack etc. is already a little too much for me
Can’t wait for the full interview, G Funk Era is still one of my favourite albums
Yessir
CLASSIC
@@uproxx not to mention it saved Def Jam!
One of the best debut albums ever. It's still sounds good today.
Do You See sampled from Junior's Mama Used to Say. One of the sickest beats ever.
LBC! Warren G was definitely an era. MTV was in love with homie back in the 90's, had him all over the network. Can't wait for the full interview
It's a winner! Lots of gems!
G Dub has the most authentic coolest LA accent I've ever heard. Him and DJ Quik are authentic Cali swag
Warren G is a great producer who doesn't get enough credit
He produced songs for Pac as well on the Thuglife vol.1. great production man. Ohh by the way that Thuglife album is arguable some of Pacs best work
@@ronaldjames7843 it's good had they let 2pac release the intended thug life album he'd probably have another classic to add to his catalog I love the thug life album but idk if it's a classic
@@jordanflores5687 Look at the track list and you'll see at least 8/10 songs are classics so I'd say it's a classic album.
@@flaquis2729 nah you caught in the fandom great album just not a certified classic look up the songs that were supposed to be on it that album is 50% 5 outta the 10 tracks are bangers the other 5 meh
@@jordanflores5687 I guess our opinions differ. I grew up on this and in my eyes and ears it's different. As far as getting caught in fandom, of course I was, that's why I bought the album and still listen to it.
Warren G album I Want It All was heavily slept on. I listen to it till this day. He is very underrated and hope he gets his flowers.
With no Warren G...Def Jam would have shut down. His album is the reason you have Jay-Z, Ja Rule ANDDDD DMX. He SAVED a whole label PERIOD. 💯
No doubt he saved DJ but to say he’s the reason we have Jay-Z, Ja Rule, and DMX is a Manute Bol reach.
@Terence Williams It actually isnt. The revenue/capital from the Regulator album SAVED the label per Lyor Cohen. They were going bankrupt before that. You have no Def Jam...you have no Rocafella, Murder Inc or Ruff Ryders. The similar move in the movie world was Wesley Snipes Blade saved Marvel Films. Howard the Duck damn near bankrupted them.
Factz
Fact 💯
@@ldaialoguedicaprio Howard the duck 🦆 😆😆😆😆😆. I remember that.
Warren G is a legend
Warren G might be the realist
ever. Smooth flow, always chill and never gets excited over what someone said. True OG!!
You always have those mature souls in your crew that you had respect for, but they didnt always go along with the foolish things you did. My boy dante was like that. Whenever we was doing some foolish stuff he didnt go along but he always had our back. We respected his decision and still had love for him. You need people like that when youre growing up kind of reckless.
Warren single handly saved DEF JAM this is something nobody talks about. Def Jam was failing, nearly bankrupt and Russell's business savvy along with his keen sense for hiphop talent knew what the legendary east coast label needed. Russ signed Warren and the Regulator project took off like a rocket ended up selling multi platinum. With those funds Russ got himself out the financial jam rebuilt Def Jam's reputation and sold to the highest bidder.
Wow, I never ever knew that Warren didn't sign the contract. I was working for the Row at the time he is talking about. I always wonder why Suge didn't like him and why did it take Paul Stewart to sign him to Def Jam West. And that deal ended up saving Def Jam Records. Big Shout Out to Warren
What's up Doug! I remember you from the Welcome to Death Row DVD.
Snoop always says this man right here always encouraged him to keep pushing and stay away from the streets. Apparently been homies since pre-school so i salute this manand his calm energy
I love sounds of microphone 🎤🎙️. It's so clear.
Underrated
Truly!
Such a cool, calm and collected man. Ill be looking out for the full episode 1 love.
Looking Good... Warren G, I love the fact you didn't sale your soul.
sell*
Warren G production one of the most underrated on the west coast. He is one of the top producers in my eyes. Battlecat, Warren, Dre, cold 187um, Daz, Quik, Soopafly, Dj Pooh, Jellyroll, Fredwreck. Are my favorites from the West.
DJ quik
Kokane I think that’s how you spell it
Don't forget easy mo bee
The guy came up w/ Snoop & Nate in 213 ... made a lot of those Deathrow connections come together b/c of the relationships he made, coupled with the fact that he was Dre's younger brother.
His first album sold 3 million copies on Def Jam Records & I believe his next 2 LPs went Gold (that 3rd album was indie too, which means he probably made $$$)
He had 1 of the biggest songs of the 90's, Regulate w/ Nate Dogg that was nominated for a Grammy & so was his own single "This DJ"
Appeared on numerous classic albums for Dre, Snoop, etc & is heavily associated with one of the most dominant rap crews in one of the greatest eras of hip hop
I guess he probably missed some of the Deathrow tours & parties from that era, but who knows? Everything happens for a reason.
So I definitely understand why he's not bitter - not too many people can list off Warren G's accomplishments in the rap game or the music industry in general.
Such a genuine dude must say... Much Respect!!!🔥🔥
Mad respect for Warren G. Always a cool brother and thank God a survivor of the nineties madness.
Shout out to Warren G. Dude made his own path, despite adversity. Regulate is a classic!!!
Finally! G needed his flowers a LOOONG time ago
Facts!
Warren G saved Def Jam
Warren G is a GOAT I had no clue he did MC Breed "I Gotta Get Mine". Classic!!! Salute
Looking forward to this! Always been a Warren G fan
We need a Wc from Westside connection interview...
one of my favourite rappers, and now at the age of 44 I finally understand why he never blew up like he was supposed too!!...wonder how I get a hold of his management to bring him too South Africa for a few shows, he has a mad following here!
Can’t wait until Monday for the entire interview…this is gonna be a gem.
3:51 Snoop actually apologized to Warren for saying this, and then basically said the same thing again on Breakfast Club like a month later
Warren wasn't a serious lyricist or whatever but damn them joints was bangin!
Warren G walked softly but carried a big stick. He's certified Rollin 20's and never glorified the street stuff. Him and Nate Dogg put Snoop on..
The fact that Suge got upset is very telling.
Life is just a fight against your disbelief. Late great Nipsey words💯
Yo gotta respect Talib for this one damn Warren G another Legend dope interview
Warren always represented that G in his name like a real one. Respect
The music made by this man helps me daily. PERIOD
Warren G and DJ quik needs to do an album together!!!
That would be bomb!!
🔥🔥🔥
Wow great to see Warren G, he looks great. Story is crazy! Much respect to this man!
Lowkey this story is actually amazing when you think about lol your brother and best friend became superstars and you had to sit out due to issues with Suge. A lot of people would have not been so cool or hated and Warren went and built his own lane and blew up!!!
I don't think this it was just about Suge though, from alot of his stories it felt like Dre kept him at arms length.
Suge had a grudge towards Warren G for not signing with Death Row
@@brandonknight7486 Suge Knight did not want to sign Warren to Death Row because according to The D.O.C. Suge Knight nor did Dr. Dre see any value in Warren as a artist talent wise who could sell large amounts of records.
Warren G definitely is one thorough brudda. So many would have been bitter and hold resentment. Big up Warren G 💪🏿👊🏿
Love and Respect from Australia Mr. Warren G 🇦🇺❤️👏👊
😘
Warren G is one of the most down to earth brother from Long Beach!
Omg I can't wait for this full interview.
One of the best at riding a beat with flow, wit and rhythm.
Warren G is such a solid dude. Everything I've ever seen or heard from him is just real. He ain't like most of these artists out here.
Warren first album was incredible. Quik has has numerous incredible albums
I just want to point out to any producers listening to this... notice the equipment he mentioned that he used. It was top notch for those days but what is available now days is better quality and costs less.
What this means is that if he could take the equipment he had and make bangers you can take the equipment you have now days and do the same thing!
Warren flow on Ain’t No Fun is classic
Warren G has Always been very very smooth and Chill.
Warren is still one of my all time favorites
He signed with russell simmons instead and ended up going multiplatinum with the regulate album. Suge missed a big opportunity there.
213. Innovation. Mad props. Thanks Talib. Keep up the good work 👍
damn Warren G a F'N LEGEND BRO...one of my favorite producers
I always have liked Warren G and have the upmost respect for him. He is very humble and honest in every interview that he does. He never talks down on anybody. You can tell in some of his interviews he is very emotional on certain subjects and very authentic.
Take a look Over Your Shoulder is arguable his best album in my opinion.
Warren G is still one of the most successful producers on the West Coast LBC.
😒😒😒😒😂
Warren G Regulate/Nate Dogg Hands down was the best 90's song ever.
The Warren to tha G
Warren G is so real.
you are a legacy man. like a father with different words 4me.
Good stuff Warren G, good to see your healthy and well
Warren G is one of the most respected rappers in the game. The Most! Salute.
This is really a real and professional Interview. Good stuff 🤛🏾👍🏾.
He made a song about getting jacked, should make one in getting punked to follow up
2 men who need they flowers from Def Jam is Warren G and Irv Gotti.. Both saved Def Jam from folding at some point..
Warren g is the most generous person
I still bump Regulate to this day and RIP nate dogg.
One of the most humble. Curated a majority of the Chronic
I'm glad he checced snoop on that statement, snoop needs to stop cappin smh

His 3rd one is solid to
G-DUB... He's not bitter because he won in the end. 💯💯💯 #Regulator
Hope we hear more from Warren G in 2022
It’s rare when a great artist Is an even better person.
I did wonder why Warren G. was never on Deathrow. Good for him for thinking ahead.
My nigga warn G one of my favorites
Great interview 👍👍
Warren G was about to say I didn't tell nobody I help write or structure your first album Snoop
That was some very good advice if out of been one of the guys he told that to happy thanking him still today
He is so calm, wish I was this calm.
Warren g lives in lake Elsinore I always see him at stater brothers
I like Warren G !
Warren G was one of the best mc I ever had no doubt from Lagos Nigeria.💖🇳🇬💖
Have you heard this story before?
They did him dirty
Whoa. That’s heavy. I’m often surprised how many people of all ages and ethnicity’s, who you wouldn’t think even know him absolutely love Warren G.
Nice you made that Breed beat Get yours .I never knew that bro .
89s and 90s babies know warren g a legend
Man what a real one!
Now that Snoop owns Death Row, Warren G could get a contract and finally be part of it.
“They took my rings they took my Rolex I looked at the brothers and said damn what’s next?”
Regulate is in my top 5 fav rap songs
Just noticed Kweli has on a warren g hoodie
I seen Warren G in Spokane year before everything shut down. He was in the hotel section of casino he had concert at. I brought my I want it all CD cover that day, and happened to see him and got it signed. I walked up to him and asked for him to sign it and took picture with him. I was big Stan that day. Snoop and Warren concert was one of the best I been to. I think it was crazy how I ran into him to get my CD signed. Didn't get my Doggy Style cover signed but 1/2 is good.
