Authentic Romania - "The story of the Iresti parish choir" @TVR 1 by Cristina Șoloc

The documentary "The story of the Iresti parish choir" is part of the series "Genuine Romania", a show dedicated to excellence, genius, value and tradition, which is broadcast on TVR 1, 18 episodes until present day, made by journalist Cristina Soloc.
In this episode (number 9), the journey takes us to the Land of Vrancea, where we learn the story of the priest Ionel Miron, from the village of Irești, who also wears a hero's robe. The priest takes care of all the children abandoned by their parents, in the poor hamlets of Vidra commune. He discovered their artistic talent, taught them to play the guitar and created a spectacular choir, as you would not expect to find in a poor village: the Irești Parish Choir, made up of 30 children. In 6 years, even the illiterate have memorized over 60 songs, sung in over 130 great shows and won awards after awards. Father Ionel Miron and the priestess Paraschiva founded the “Saint Catherine Association - The one who gives, gives to him”, through which the children of the village receive food, clothes, supplies, medical services, education and especially love. An emotional story, disturbing, deep, a little sad in places, but full of hope and uplifting, recommended for the whole family.
Piano music was composed especially for this show, by Marius Leordean, a researcher in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (the "guide" of episode 2).
The whole concept (from the beginning to the end, from the screenplays, to the director's cut-out, etc.) was conceived and realized by Cristina Soloc, television presenter and moderator for 20 years and director of several award-winning documentaries.
