Something I noticed: In the UK's version of this trailer, the splicer is seemingly knocked unconcious by Delta before he gores him, but in this version you can hear him plead (in vain) for his life before he's ended.
Still a favorite game of mine and possibly the most accurate trailer to gameplay there is. Walking around as a powerful Big Daddy against an entire city of enemies
The Big Sister gave me chills when at 2:56 she raised her hand up really fast and pointed at the viewer (big daddy) and made that shriek like the ringwraiths in LOTR do. At least that is what the shriek reminds me of. This is probably one of the best game trailers I have seen ever.
The instrumental at the beginning is part of the song Daddy won't you please come home popular in 1929. I have the High Hatter's version of the song posted playing on the original 78 record from 1929
This was a badass launch trailer love the idea that you get to play as a big daddy since that was a huge figure in the first game, and love that he has his own story. Can’t wait to let’s play this soon
I love it how he just leaves the little sister to fend off against a splicer while a big splicer fights him. He can easily kill the smaller one then fight the bigger one. XD
Finally finished the game.. it is every bit amazing. It lives up to its name as a sequel, being that it won't ever be the same as the first game. It may have lost lots of good storytelling, but they make up for that in so many ways. It's short compared to Bioshock 1 since they cut off the part where you would chase Fontaine. Here, they just went with one complete final stage. It would definitely be easier since you play as a Big Daddy both capable of handling brute force and plasmid use.
actually, they just recently announced that there won't be any ghost hallucinations in bioshock 2; all of them will be replaced with flashback sequences.
From the Bioshock wiki: It is speculated that Subject Delta could have been the Big Daddy that killed Dr. Suchong seeing as the Audio Diary suggests that the Big Daddy that killed Suchong was the first to form the protection bond with the Little Sisters (Subject Delta being the first to do so).
Playing it right now... it is definitely something you would call a sequel. Even though the story-telling will not be as good as Bioshock, the next-level action and new things make up for it...
Finally got around to finishing Bioshock 1 last night and now I'm a few minutes away from installing Bioshock 2 on my pc... Can't wait to fill Delta's boots :)
actually, this time around, they announced that there actually won't be any ghost hallucinations in this game. instead, there'll be flashback of delta's past, which would also reveal more about how he became a big daddy in the first place.
the song being played is called Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition by Harry Kaye...there's a punk rock version of it by a person or band called Serj Tankian that you'll want to avoid. You're welcome :)
That's the point. The developers wanted the player to be scared of something under the sea even though your this big metal bad ass. The big sister is sappost to be this unstoppable shadow that knows exactly where you are and how to defeat you so you don't get too cocky.
Awsom, ive been confused as hell with people saying u are the first big daddy ever and others saying u are the dude from the 1st game- at least now i know when it takes place.
I was disappointed when the release date was pushed back, but now I'm really glad 2K took the time and resources to polish everything off. They didn't have to and people would have still bought it. What happened to the splicer the little sister ducked under? Either someone overlooked that or they're trying to say that she can hold her own against one small splicer. Awesome video none-the-less!!!
actually they just recently announced that there won't be any ofline multi. according to digital extremes, it was because they didn't have enough time to make it. well, let's just hope that they'll have it for bioshock 3.
This animation is great, hard to believe this came out a decade ago
I love how Delta is such a killing machine, yet at the same time a gentle giant to the little sisters.
Something I noticed: In the UK's version of this trailer, the splicer is seemingly knocked unconcious by Delta before he gores him, but in this version you can hear him plead (in vain) for his life before he's ended.

3:10-3:17
The most epic clip I have ever seen!
Delta was all like "BRING IT BITCH!!!"
Yea, he show his drill like saying, he was ready for battle
Splicer: "I won't hurt ya."
Delta: "You're damn right, you won't."
This was one of the coolest trailers I remember most when I was a kid
Can never forget how intriguing and impressive these first 2 BioShock pieces were.
Infinite can never beat them in immersion as well as the worldview.
"The game takes place ten years after the first game, and Rapture is even worse off than it was before"
From Bioshock 2 wiki
Out of all three games, this one still has to be my favorite. Love my boy Delta.
Brings a tear to my eye, this trailer.
looking at these comments from 14 years ago is like going back in time...very nostalgic
This is by far my favorite bioshock game.

This is true video gaming art. Whoever didn't see video games as art, will now! Simply just incredible!

This could potentially set up for a Bioshock movie. This game is epic!
I heard Netflix is working on a tv show
Gives me the chills every time i watch it
Ey, when was the last time someone commented on this jeez.
5 years later: "I know, right?"
i will protect my daughter until my final glimpse of light like he is
The next 6 days are going to be the longest 6 days I have ever endured. I can't wait to play this game. Instant masterpiece.
When that Spider-Splicer turned around and saw that fist, he knew he fucked up
THIS LOOKS SO FREAKING AWSOME!!!! I pre ordered the special edition :D
I just found both this vid and the new Freeman's Mind vid today. It's an awesome day!
2010...
a decade ago.
Yeah
I feel old now 😔
@@marcomeinnel6955 Well that’s not a bad thing right?
i like how theirs a uplifting tune just as spider splicer guts are splattered everywhere in the beginning
Gorgeous trailer. Here's to a sweet game :D
This was a badass launch trailer love the idea that you get to play as a big daddy since that was a huge figure in the first game, and love that he has his own story. Can’t wait to let’s play this soon
the moment i started the game I fell in love with Delta!
10 years ago... time flies
Oh my shit this looks amazing. I can't wait to get it.
G A W D, hearing Delta murder a Crawler is the sort of thing that can get me hot and bothered.
This videogame is kickass! Definitely a must for any videogame lover.
and that comment alone just made the wait 10x harder
the music goes so well for some reason
i like how the tone changed right away when the big sister came
I loved it, and it's definitely worth the price of admission if you dig a great story, and amazing atmosphere.
I love it how he just leaves the little sister to fend off against a splicer while a big splicer fights him. He can easily kill the smaller one then fight the bigger one. XD
This is still one of the best trailers I’ve ever seen
i like how they incorporated the song "praise the lord and pass the amunition" into this trailer
delta looks like bomberman with the two lines inbetween his visor
getting it tonight at midnight and calling out of work tomorrow to play it all day
i would like to see an upscaled version of this...
seeing this at only 720p when i remember it so crisp in my mind is sad.
just 2 more days and we can all return to good ol' Rapture
wow this is the first time ive seen this where it wasn't compressed to hell

So I guess the little sister took out that Splicer all by herself? What a little badass
Omg the little sisters hand compaired to deltas one finger. So adorable
I love how the music continues at 2:00
actually, they just recently announced that there won't be any ghost hallucinations in bioshock 2; all of them will be replaced with flashback sequences.
Why was there no moment this epic in the game?
It's been 12 years god I miss bioshock 2
From the Bioshock wiki: It is speculated that Subject Delta could have been the Big Daddy that killed Dr. Suchong seeing as the Audio Diary suggests that the Big Daddy that killed Suchong was the first to form the protection bond with the Little Sisters (Subject Delta being the first to do so).
give this trailer a grammy for best trailer
Epic trailer, 2k. Well done! Looking forward to finishing Bioshock 1 and knowing there's something to follow. :)
haha your the one taking the time to post that on this video!
Playing it right now... it is definitely something you would call a sequel. Even though the story-telling will not be as good as Bioshock, the next-level action and new things make up for it...
That splicer in the beginning got Falcawn PAWNCHED!!!
even though the game already came out, i love watching this trailer again and again because it just plain looks sick and really shows off the game.
The one you hear when Delta sees the spirits of those people dancing is: "Praise the lord and pass the ammunition"
One of the best launch trailers I've seen in a while. Bravo 2K bravo!
the most amazing trailer for any game ever made. Bioshock needs to become a movie someday it would b fuckn awsum
i never get tired of watching this
Finally got around to finishing Bioshock 1 last night and now I'm a few minutes away from installing Bioshock 2 on my pc... Can't wait to fill Delta's boots :)

only one word to describe bioshock 2: EPIC
Words can't describe how beautiful this is. I just- I'm so happy.
It's going to be so hard to wait for the game.
annette hanshaw- daddy won't you please come home is the song in the video for people who want to know
looks so awesome i'm getting it like the beginning with that punch
O.O That was incredible. Wow I can't wait. 6 more days!!
Wow this is so old
Damn i need to finish this
Someone get me a rag, I just messed myself...
*curls up into mental ball and rocks back and forth*...(due to waiting for it to come out)
Great song for Delta. I just listened to it. Now... Let us go back to our paradise under the sea.
I hope they make a bioshock movie in CG like this. That would rock!
Holy shit! AMAZING! I am getting the special edition for 360 and CANNOT WAIT til Tuesday!!!!!
the song being played is called Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition by Harry Kaye...there's a punk rock version of it by a person or band called Serj Tankian that you'll want to avoid. You're welcome :)
Let's plays will be everywhere!
the new big looking splicer looks like a good challenge to face in the game
I can't wait for my preorder to come next week.
I have'nt heard of any promo items at the midnight release, you may want to contact the place that the release is going to be at to find out
one of the best collectors editons ive ever seen.
That's the point. The developers wanted the player to be scared of something under the sea even though your this big metal bad ass. The big sister is sappost to be this unstoppable shadow that knows exactly where you are and how to defeat you so you don't get too cocky.
....
This trailer has literally left me speechless.
there are humans inside and they're like grafted into the suits made to protect the little sisters
I beat the game about 5 times now, and its epic. More than a match to bioshock 1
the world was so different through the little sisters eyes
i pre-ordered this and can't wait it looks soooo much better than the first
This video just proves how great this game is going to be.
You heard some noises when it jumped. I think this one is quieter because it's smarter. I dont' know though, I hope we'll get a couple noises though.
Awsom, ive been confused as hell with people saying u are the first big daddy ever and others saying u are the dude from the 1st game- at least now i know when it takes place.

May just have to knock myself out until this tuesday.
The first one was godly. This ones got some big shoes to fill.Cant wait to play it.
well 10 years after and ur no regular big daddy ur one of the first prototype big daddys and its amazing
actually they just recently announced that there won't be any ofline multi. according to digital extremes, it was because they didn't have enough time to make it.
well, let's just hope that they'll have it for bioshock 3.
You don't play as Jack in the second one, you are a completely different person
awesome. reminds me of a short teaser they posted for the original bioshock in august 2007. good times...
