Quite interesting how the Beersaglieri songs are almost inevitably oozing "win or die" rethorical callbacks and a whole understone based upon heroism, valour and supreme scrifice in battle while _____any_____ Alpini song is about toils, sufferings, loosing friends and comrades in battle and longing for the distant homes and families ____NO ONE___ will doubt the Alpini are one of the most effective and succesful fighting force in Italian Army - so much so as the Bersaglieri - but the difference in ethos and moral compass is quite surprising

For all the fanfare of this song the Italians were an absolute burden on the German war machine check out Italian disasters in the Balkans and especially north Africa against the British/the had to send in the Africa corps under Rommel to help them /they just good at blowing trumpet 🎺😊
well actually it was not the fault of soldiers it was the fault of Mussolini that he mad kind of person just threw his country in a war they were not prepared for because every countrie's soldiers will die for thier country and as the desert fox himself once said - 'the german soldier has astonished the world, the italian bersagleri has astonished the german soldier'
