As someone who was physically and verbally abused as a child, as well as neglected, I honestly think CPS should be doing more, not less. They didn’t even take me away from my parents at all cause my parents hit me just soft enough not to leave scars, but I was filthy, starved, and traumatized, yet they did nothing... I think CPS is way to unreliable, and it really sucks.
The guy above didn't tell you what you need to know, so here goes: If a representative from CPS approaches you, advise them that you are not discussing anything with them without the presence of your attorney in their (CPS's) office. Each question will be handled on an individual basis and your attorney will advise you to answer or not and how you will answer or not. Do not allow yourself to discuss anything with them.
Thank you, with that they need a warrent as well to search home premises, on top some cps workers will lie, make sure you video record, be polite, dont allow them entry and if they bring up past issues of past prior records, you are NOT obliged to discuss shit, straight up factz
If they have your name, you have already lost...RUN. Run fast and run far. We moved to the other coast for most of the eighties and never heard from them again. Kids are in their thirties and forties now and our 44th anniversary is in April of this year(2019). We beat them on OUR terms.
