Our cat walked off and we are left with 5 very sad kittens. She walked of yesterday morning and we can't believe the amount of work this takes. We are still scared they won't make it, we can't get them to poop and they don't eat so much either. We can't believe the mother cat just walked off and left us with this.

I found one that was about 2 days old. I guess someone left it there after feeding it something that was poisonous i guess but when i took it to the vet he said nothing could be done. I miss the little guy 😢
Kira Its natures way of keeping the cats den clean and odor free, because their waste is not only unhealthy but could attract wild predators who would kill the litter while mom is away..

Seven years later your still helping out, I found two baby kittens in a plastic bag last night and I’m taking them to the vet today, thank you so much for your work I’m going to try my absolute hardest to help these kittens thrive.
Actually she's not. She's a tortie. I just had it in my mind that i wanted to name my next cat Ginger cause my other cat is Jack Daniels. Jack & Ginger.
Sadly my rescue lady is going to have kittens in about three weeks but when she hears the sound of kitten Videos she gets so scared, big eys and runs away. I cant help worrying she might not be able to take care of the litter. She is blind and deaf on one side and therefore has problems telling where sound is coming from. I would be so happy if kitten crys will make her purr soon too.
I love what you do. None of this information was available when I started to rescue. My mom taught me many things. She grew up with an Uncle who had a farm. Helping animals has always been part of our life.

The kitten I just rescued (the momma cat moved her 3 other kittens but never came back for the 4th kitten after 5 hours) and it was starting to snow). But that night she has very black poop which I think is their first poop. Since then she has not pooped. Today she should be about 3 days old and still no poops. Little worried.
that is why the mom licks them on the private i thought it was to clean them (i know that the mom licks them to clean the kittens) you learn something new each day:)
Thank goodness this exists. Just found this little thing covered in flies and maggots but still mewling and moving. Cleaned her up, and for the past 3 days Ive been panicking how to take care of "Maow"(not creative, I know). Thanks cat lady! (+1 sub)
There is a kitten who comes to my house every night. I always feed her, but idk if I should keep her... like if you think I should keep her. Btw, she's a stray. 😍🐈
Well, first make sure she doesn't already have owners (does she run when she sees you? does she leave and go to another house for a long time?) maybe follow her when she leaves and make sure she doesn't have owners who just let her outside. Also make sure she's not a "clipped" cat, make sure her ear tips are intact and that she wasn't purposely released. Also, if she's unspayed ignore the owner thing, because if someone too lazy to get their cat spayed and let her outside (where she will almost certainly find a male and have kits) then they don't deserve her.

This is great, thank you!! Everything you read on the internet says yellow poop is bad so thank you for straightening that out! Can you do a video about kitten poop? Color, constipation, diarrhea, blood etc? With newborns up to weaning stage? There is so much misinformation on the internet! 😽😽😽
Yellow poop is totally normal when they're on formula. As they get older, it turns brown. Always trying to make more videos as time permits, so stay tuned!
i found that my kitten used to be constipated from the formula and then he exploded with poop..but thankfully he is 4 months now so all is good and he can do it himself :D
@@KittenLady Hi just stumble into this video while looking after 3 weeks orphaned kittens in my house. My kittens drink formula and their poops are mustard color but in liquid form. The vet said its ok and doesnt mean they are having diarrhea. Do you also think that ? Because my kittens fur looks really bad and smelly due to the residue from pee and poop. Eventhough I've cleaned them by wiped with warm towel, they still smells, the fur hardened and messy :( Even their nails are so dirty, I don't think its wise to cut their nails while they are learning to walk. Lookin' forward for anybody's reply regarding this. Thank youuuu
@@rrlrza You need to give them a bath. Kitten Lady has an excellent video on this, I suggest you watch it. Your fur babies will be more comfortable, more importantly they'll be healthier.
This channel is so amazing, I've learned so much about kitten care yet I've never owned one 😅 it's inspired me to really consider signing up to be a foster mom once I move to a pet friendly complex.
With our orphaned kittens, we used to have problems getting them to pee, what with being pretty inexperienced in it. But one day we discovered that if we let our dog lick them a little, they would poop and pee almost immediately and even the stubborn one calmed down immediately. They are two years old now, and they still haven't forgotten what our dog did for them when they were little

I rescued 5 newborn kittens about 7 weeks ago and I cannot explain how much you've helped me! Your videos are super informative and I couldn't have done it without you. I Here's a little tip, one thing I did have a problem with was when they were still on formula was constipation in one of the kittens. One of then did not poop for almost 3 days so I called my vet and they reccomened take a small human temperature thermometer, and a good amount of vaseline, and (BE VERY GENTLE AND CAREFUL) put about 1/3 of an inch of the end into the kittens anus and move it around a little bit. This was amazing for helping my kittens pass and saved me a vet visit.

I just came across your channel and recently about 7-8 months ago I adopted a feral adult female who someone had previously had fixed her which I'm very happy about. But you're very good with the cats and the kittens and your videos are awesome I'm glad you're doing that. I've learned quite a lot from you I've always had dogs. If you or your family ever find baby kittens without a mom, you'll be prepared or at least remember that Kitten Lady's videos exist. You could save their little lives when no one else knows what to do!
This helped me so much. I’ve been bottle feeding three now three day old orphaned kittens and knew I had to stimulate them, but did not realize I needed to keep doing it until they pooped since they had had bowel movements without me doing so before. Today they were less comfortable and not eating as much and this helped me get them back in good shape!

So my cat after 10 days of her delivery met with an accident. I was super afraid because as the newborns were just 10 days old. And I had no idea how to take care of them. I watched many videos on youtube including this one, and started feeding them substitute milk that is Beahper lactol milk with the help of feeding bottle as that milk contains many minerals and nutrients which are present in the mother milk. Now they are two and a half months old. They are super fine and active. So guys my point is don't freak out. Just take care of them, watch videos if you don't know how to. All they need is your love and care ❤️ And thank you for your instructional videos, it helped me a lot❤️

You are amazing. My 6 week old kitten had not pooped for a day and a half and I was getting concerned that he may have been impacted or had swallowed something that was impeding his ability to go. Thank you for this video! It was spot on! My roommates mom found an abandoned kitten in the backyard. They’ve been waiting for any sign of a momma cat, but none is showing up. My roommate fed it and brought it home, I did the tissue technique and baby boy peed a river onto the tissue!! Yes, we cleaned him afterwards so he doesn’t get urine burn. I found a newborn kitten on my doorstep on Saturday and have been using tissues to stimulate her little bottom, and it has been working well, but I wondered if I was doing it right. The only thing is, she hasn't done a poo yet (she is peeing really well). I am going to the vet tomorrow, just to make sure she is happy etc. Thank you for the tip on using organic baby wipes, will get some of those tomorrow too! My youngest child is 23 years old, but because I am feeding this kitten every 2 hours, I feel like I am right back, being a young mother again, lol. btw, it was good to know what normal newborn poo looks like - with any luck my kitten will poo soon! She came to us 2 days ago, exactly.
So glad I found this video! My rescues have all been 4+ week, I currently one that is about a week old now. She hasn’t pooped for me in the 2 days I’ve had her, stimulation hasn’t worked to poo, just pee. This is very helpful. Going to try this now, and if she won’t go I will try to soak her bun/tummy in warm water. If she doesn’t poop in the next few hours, we will be off to the vet. Thank you!!

I rescued a kitten (about 10 days old) and I have to do that, but I use to stamp him with a soft toilet paper wet with hot water, just after feeding. He was peeing every time, but only pooped on the 3rd day and every 2/3 days at first. When he was about 3 or 4 weeks old, he was using the tiny litter, a saucer for flower pot with sand. As soon as he was able to walk well, he went by himself. I just kept him near my bed during the night and in the livingroom during the day. Cats are very smart and clean if a small litter is provided :) . Now he is 2 months old and he is using the big litter for adults :)

I used q tips with warm water on it to stimulate them but I'm not a pro it was easier for me especially one really small like a few days.
Excuse where i should stimulate? The tummy on top of the poophole or the poophole, bc of the paper tissue i couldnt see

I rescued 5 newborn kittens about 7 weeks ago and I cannot explain how much you've helped me! Your videos are super informative and I couldn't have done it without you. I Here's a little tip, one thing I did have a problem with was when they were still on formula was constipation in one of the kittens. One of then did not poop for almost 3 days so I called my vet and they reccomened take a small human temperature thermometer, and a good amount of vaseline, and (BE VERY GENTLE AND CAREFUL) put about 1/3 of an inch of the end into the kittens anus and move it around a little bit. This was amazing for helping my kittens pass and saved me a vet visit.

I just came across your channel and recently about 7-8 months ago I adopted a feral adult female who someone had previously had fixed her which I'm very happy about. But you're very good with the cats and the kittens and your videos are awesome I'm glad you're doing that. I've learned quite a lot from you I've always had dogs. This helped me so much. I’ve been bottle feeding three now three day old orphaned kittens and knew I had to stimulate them, but did not realize I needed to keep doing it until they pooped since they had had bowel movements without me doing so before. Today they were less comfortable and not eating as much and this helped me get them back in good shape!

So my cat after 10 days of her delivery met with an accident. I was super afraid because as the newborns were just 10 days old. And I had no idea how to take care of them. I watched many videos on youtube including this one, and started feeding them substitute milk that is Beahper lactol milk with the help of feeding bottle as that milk contains many minerals and nutrients which are present in the mother milk. Now they are two and a half months old. They are super fine and active. So guys my point is don't freak out. Just take care of them, watch videos if you don't know how to. All they need is your love and care ❤️ And thank you for your instructional videos, it helped me a lot❤️

Thank you for this video! It was spot on! My roommates mom found an abandoned kitten in the backyard. They’ve been waiting for any sign of a momma cat, but none is showing up. My roommate fed it and brought it home, I did the tissue technique and baby boy peed a river onto the tissue!! Yes, we cleaned him afterwards so he doesn’t get urine burn. We’ll be watching your other premie/abandoned kitten videos.

That was very, very helpful, thank you! I found a newborn kitten on my doorstep on Saturday and have been using tissues to stimulate her little bottom, and it has been working well, but I wondered if I was doing it right. The only thing is, she hasn't done a poo yet (she is peeing really well). I am going to the vet tomorrow, just to make sure she is happy etc. Thank you for the tip on using organic baby wipes, will get some of those tomorrow too! My youngest child is 23 years old, but because I am feeding this kitten every 2 hours, I feel like I am right back, being a young mother again, lol. btw, it was good to know what normal newborn poo looks like - with any luck my kitten will poo soon! She came to us 2 days ago, exactly.

So glad I found this video! My rescues have all been 4+ week, I currently one that is about a week old now. She hasn’t pooped for me in the 2 days I’ve had her, stimulation hasn’t worked to poo, just pee. This is very helpful. Going to try this now, and if she won’t go I will try to soak her bun/tummy in warm water. If she doesn’t poop in the next few hours, we will be off to the vet.

I rescued a kitten (about 10 days old) and I have to do that, but I use to stamp him with a soft toilet paper wet with hot water, just after feeding. He was peeing every time, but only pooped on the 3rd day and every 2/3 days at first. When he was about 3 or 4 weeks old, he was using the tiny litter, a saucer for flower pot with sand. As soon as he was able to walk well, he went by himself. I just kept him near my bed during the night and in the livingroom during the day. Cats are very smart and clean if a small litter is provided :) . Now he is 2 months old and he is using the big litter for adults :)
