    Very good video thank you. I understand starting with Soldier first so you can beef up his health and Physique. Good start. I cant wait to see where you go.

      No problem. First 2 episodes are going to be a bit heavy on talking, but after that only at key points.

      I have another one on the way, but it's ... well it's a semi-Vitality caster but I'm disguising it as something else. It isn't a Conjuror, but Conjuror is on my list of builds to play.

    Man, you level a DK much differently than I do. My first 10 levels are in Necromancer. Just for the pet early leveling experience. I change it up later after hitting homestead. Because I did necro pets early. I can do early totems with lil trouble. Big difference in playstyle!

    • @Paikis
      @Paikis  Год назад +1

      Soldier can do early totems easily as well, especially on Normal. I'm choosing to not do them because dead character can't complete hardcore achievements and if I start doing totems then everyone is going to do totems and then someone will die and complain about the build. Also yes, any character I play that isn't for a video series that uses Necromancer will run pets until at least Homestead... but I'm trying to limit full build overhauls. Going from pets to Forcewave is a big change, even at level 30. It's basically a full reset.

    Would this play through still be viable since 1.2? Or would you recommend one of the more recent builds? Just looking to get a solid play through for a foundation into GD

    • @Paikis
      @Paikis  4 месяца назад +1

      This is still solid. You'll have to work out what to evade, but the character itself is still fine. If you're worried about it, I'd say the Primal Strike Elementalist is a good second option.

      @@Paikis appreciate the reply! I was just looking at the primal strike elementalist/Lighting Paladin. Tough choice honestly all 3 look fun.

      The Deathknight is probably the better choice for learning. Aside from the Sunder mechanic. It's a guide where I go out of my way to explain as much as I can, while the other two are play throughs where I will explain some things, but its not the focus. The Deathknight is also going to be a lot sturdier. All 3 are great builds though.

      @@Paikis ahh thanks again. I think I will follow along with the death knight in that case and visit the other builds once I learn the game a bit!

    you mentioned something about veteran. what are your thoughts, i recently started a hardcore veteran and planning to do a death knight build but a different kind . i was watching the video just to see different aproaches to the deathknight class. Did i mess up my playthrough for choosing veteran?

    • @Paikis
      @Paikis  8 месяцев назад

      Not at all. I pretty much always play on Veteran. I only did normal for this series to make it easier.

      Not a huge amount of progress for half an hour of talking, but it will speed up after Act 1. There's a lot of information and 'splainin' to do early on, but I promise it gets faster. A lot faster.

      I re-recorded this first episode 4 times trying to decide if I should keep that section or not. I do think it's important to think about, but not sure it was important enough to leave it in. Oh well, it's in now and it provided a nice backdrop to the introduction.

    LoL. Should sa" We don't do Ancient Totems...Ever.... They are scary and you will die.

    • @Paikis
      @Paikis  Год назад +1

      They can be scarey and you might die. once we've got our setup going though they should be fine. Early Normal is probably the most dangerous part of this, and we're playing on Normal. Should be fine to do pretty much anything with this build... depends how much you want to risk being an hero.

      @@Paikis I might try this after I see it in action

    • @Paikis
      @Paikis  Год назад +1

      The basic gameplay should be in place by level 38 at the latest. Blitz in, Warcry to reduce incoming damage and then Forcewave until nothing is moving. We're going to have pretty good armour, reduce all incoming damage by 25%+ as well as 5ish sources of healing when we get hit and 2 circuit breakers. So we're going to be very hard to kill and Forcewave does very nice damage.
