The Razzle Dazzler unsickens me
Ran my own version of this the day the patch went live, running the 2 mana forge guy that gives you a holy spell for the extra school and some extra frost spells and the 3/2 draw a frost spell. I wish DK had access to more spell schools, I can see this deck becoming better if they just had a few extra schools to not have to rely on the shaman spell.

Ima try to finish another big basic deck today and then I can test it out more. I have Lickitung/Psychic box built and it slaughtered the Blastoise/Venasaur decks so easily 🤣

I added Buttons and malted magma into my list and that's it, he already draws the 2 broken spells I wanna play, might as well add an ok third one
Another interesting fact is that he can draw grave strength in the unholy version if you cut the 2 plague strikes, not sure if you should do that

Hey, I also play base-fossil!!! Nice commentary, I would like more comments like this. I think HS also nerfs this often due to his nature as a digital card game, while MTG/YGO/PKM have a hard time bannings cards (with is the way they nerf those) because they are deleting a card from the players collections. Also making cards just to combat those types of strategy doesn't seems like the correct way. In the end it's not a easy to solve problem.
Raindance is great on the gbc tcg, mostly cause its so slow to grind out big basic cards! There a eng patch for poke tcg 2 which goes up to the rocket sets. Fun little games.
Yeah but everything is good in the Gameboy game 🤣 I did a playthrough a couple weeks ago and beat most of it with Rattata as my main attacker.

Yeah I forget if the game where we pulled it up made it into the vid but I couldnt believe how much worse it was than I remembered.
@@MartianBuu I think I’m a bit better at remembering how those cards worked because I’m not even remotely as “winning-oriented” as you in my decks (I think my most-played deck is Renouncelock) and I *still* didn’t touch that one with a ten foot pole

I had the same feelings with all the buffs/changes/nerfs in hearthstone, that sometimes funny decks also get hit as a side effect. Like when they buffed wildfire to 1 and it killed even mage in wild. I'm still not over it, escpecially with all the even hero power support lately.

Hey MarshKing, I have a question about your thoughts on balance. Personally, I love that the HS team is more proactive on nerfs and buffs, which keeps the game from just being 1 or 2 strong decks for months.
However, you lament the old days of balance. What do you see as the main issue? Cause I feel it’s a similar issue of “let wild be wild” which I didn’t think was a good philosophy.
A lot if things that dont need to get nerfed get nerfed, which means a lot of decks died that didnt need to and a lot of metas have felt flat ‘cause the power was low. With most good decks getting the chop at some point its hard to get attached to anything, since its likely to be taken away before its time. Referring to Standard when I talk about this stuff.
@@MartianBuu I can see that. For it’s annoying that a nerf kills an archetype.
But let me counter. When I play the game, i do it to have fun. Some do it to win games and that is their fun. A deck for me, isn’t defined by how much it wins, but by how much fun I have while winning a fair amount for the power.
I think nerfing a card or two doesn’t kill a deck, only curbs it’s win rate a little. Sometimes the nerfs go WAY too far. But I’ve yet to see a recent nerf that has done enough damage to my fun. If anything, sometimes they aren’t doing enough to nerf problematic cards like Xiliax or whatever.
All that said, I’m mostly just trying to have a conversation. A lot of times people are stuck in their mentality and fail to consider others’ points of view. Love hearing your thoughts.

Because I just saw him, isn't Recurring Villain kinda busted in DK? 'Cause wouldn't that make it into an immortal minion as soon as Eliza is dead? I mean, until somebody steals or silences him, but that's not too to common nowadays.
Sadly he's 5 mana so not something even DK would want and DK seems to be on an even or nothing streak atm. Well, ok. 5 mana 3/6, do nothing, neverdies. Maybe not that impactful. But in some form of control list maybe? But then you also need your Eliza to be dead for him to work.
Hm, kinda talked myself out of it now. But hey, still. Something to remember and think about I guess.

It is a neutral card which you could run in the ETC. But not really worth it

I think applying the Badlands change to all the Highlander cards could be a problem, but I'd like to see them try it. It definitely stops degenerate Zephrys shenanigans in Rogue while making them less feelsbad. The problem is that Shaman will be absolutely disgusting if you can't turn off ANY of their Reno effects.
I think Shaman is plenty beatable and the only HL effect that you really need to turn off you already cant.

I really dunno about even DK. It seems like whichever version you play, it’s just OK. Kind of in shambles as a DK enjoyer. Thinking of giving it a couple more expansions and playing other classes that I need 500 wins with in the meantime.

The way they make cards now they have to nerf more often. They make way too many busted cards for Standard. Cards like Zilliax definitely need attention.
I dont necessarily agree but, assuming thats true, the problem is then that they release cards too strong and they should taper that so they dont have to nerf so often.
I think Theotar is my least favorite card of all time for exactly the reason you said. No matter what it takes from you it feels awful
I kinda do not like this. Because it auto loses to anything that isn't agro
