WAIT I HAVE AN IDEA, record an Xtrapolis 100 inductor while the tracks are wet. The Xtrapolis 100 doesn't have very good traction control, so they experience a lot of wheel slip if it rains.
@@raimovt that's because the one in Valparaíso uses a higher voltage (DC 3000V) than Melbourne (DC 1500V). The Valparaíso variant (2-car) also has CTC and ATP, which the Melbourne variant (3-car) doesn't have, and a much broader track gauge (1676mm as opposed to 1600mm).
Comeng won’t work. I can’t remember the reason but someone said it is because the motor is an older (traditional) kind that doesn’t make that pitch difference.
@Leo_Trains_Victoria Comeng has a DC traction system, no VVVF. I did manage to record Comeng, it's just extremely quiet among lots of interference noise
Oh my gosh... wish you could also do this on the Yarra Trams

Damn... Between the Australian and Chilean XT100 they sound quite different

Can you do HCMT and Comeng? If not, how much does the recording equipment cost so I can do it?
@@JourneyKid I have HCMT recording, new video soon
