This is great!!! Just started my photography adventure and never thought of doing minis but after watching some of your videos I’m thinking I can do it!!!
I will from now on be sending the other parent behind me. Or perhaps directly in front of me slightly to the side when I use my prime lens. I always have an issue with them off too the side and never even thought of it. Thank you for the valuable information.
Hi Rebecca! Great Video! I'm planning my first Fall Mini Session and I was wondering about the month I should do it. I thought mid October but I'm not sure if this is too late. Any advice? All the best from Germany Christin
When delivering a mini session gallery with the intention to upsell do you fully edit all the photos in the gallery? I really want to upsell my minis but im not sure if I will have the time to edit 20 photos per client in a reasonable amount of time. I'd also be worried Id edit them and they wouldn't purchase so id be wasting my time.
Watched it and wrote it down. I do a similar order and I agree Mum and Dad always say they have not had their own images taken since the wedding day!! My question is what small bag do you carry on the day like for extra batts for camera and flash or extra camera. Do you have one on you or your large bag in the distance behind you.
@@RebeccaRiceEducation Thank you for advice. My camera bag is for my bag and weights a tonne. Think of making a smaller one for wedding gigs and long family sessions.
How many people do you allow for a mini session? And if there is more then the max number per mini session do you push for a back to back session? And for back to back session for the same client do you give discounts or is it full price?
I allow immediate family for a mini! I don’r want to punish families that have more kids by charging them more. If they want extended family included, they have to book 2 spots back to back. I don’t discount this! They pay the full price for 2 minis spots.
So I dont understand what im doing wrong. I advertise ahead, did a photo event and got about 15 couples/ families interested. I sent the email out to them about selecting a session either its a no or Ill wait. I tried saying its for a limited time and still nothing. What am I doing wrong?!!!!! $100- 20 mins 1 outfit 10 images 24 greeting cards $300-90 mins 2 outfits 20 mins 48 greetings.
It sounds like a marketing problem for sure. 15 families interested isn’t nearly enough to book out minis. You’ll have to get in front of a larger audience than who currently follows you. Have you watched my free minis class? It talks through marketing strategies for booking out your minis! The link is in the video description 😊

I also offer shots of just mom and dad without the kids. Often times I hear they haven’t had photos of just the two of them since their wedding.
YES!!! I hear that all the time! Family sessions are the perfect time to get some of just the two of them 🙌🏼
I do the same. :)
I love that!!

I carry my regular camera bag. It’s a cross body and isn’t too bulky!

Yes I think that's a great idea!
A wagon can be great for sessions where you need to carry props, a warmer jacket, umbrella's etc and not going too far or on rough terrain.
