This was an amazing tutorial video. I was googling the question can you make a book trailer with canvas and this youtube video popped up. I love the way you walk us through it step by step and at a slower pace which makes it easier to follow. I've subscribed to your channel and I'm looking forward to other videos. Job well done! Thanks so much.
Hi! You have two options for adding sound to a video on Canva. The first is uploading your own audio straight to Canva like you would an image. Then you'll go to Uploads in the sidebar and select the audio tab, then drag and drop. Your other option is to search under Elements or Audio in the sidebar for audio or sound effects provided by Canva. Just make sure you have the rights to use audio how you're intending to use it! Have fun!
hi, thank you for the tutorial, i really loved it. i wanted to ask if its okay by you.... can you send me the link of the diybookcover... i try searching for it but I'm getting something else. thank you in advance
You just made my day! I need to create a Book Trailer for a library grad school assignment (this is my final semester YIPPIE!) and I was feeling very overwhelmed with the concept. You make it look more doable and I appreciate your thoroughness!!!
Thank you for the video. It's been very helpful. A question I have is can I download my own videography and If so, can text be superimposed over that through canva?
I know it's an old video, but I'm trying to figure out how to place things with delay, like you did in the last slide where first we see the book pop in and then later the "Available at Amazon"
Hi! Thanks for watching! So, the animation Breathe we used in this book trailer allows for a smidge of a delay, but if you're looking for a longer pause, what you could do is click on the place in your video clip (in the timeline, below the "canvas" where you're actually adding things that will go on screen) where you want the element to pop up, right click, and select "Split page." This will split the clip into two clips that flow together seamlessly. You can then add the element you want to pop up on the second clip, and that first clip will act as the delay you're looking for. Let us know if that wasn't clear!

Yes, you can absolutely use your own videos to Canva and super impose text over them! Just drag and drop to upload like you would any image.
Great 👍
