@@amyrose1592 this is not a competition. A lot of people went through that without fame or anything, but it doesnt make her trauma less bad or yours worse. Its a weird comment to left. I am glad they're people out there who have to platform to speak about those things.

@@faedollsabortion and miscarriage are different things, albeit both resulting in the death of a child. miscarriage happens unintentionally and spontaneously, whereas abortion is intentional. both are very traumatic though, however miscarriage sadly can't be avoided most of the time

this was honestly my favorite episode so far. it was raw, wholesome, and just unequivocally real! i could have watched hours more of this podcast!! i think it’s beautiful that loren trusted not only trish but her audience to be as honest and vulnerable as she was.
I feel her when she says she was looking for a safe space in boys after being SA. I was SA at 15 and i dealt with it the same exact way. Boys felt like a safe space for me. It wasnt until i turned 22 that i realized how much i was letting that experience dictate my perspective and therefore my decisions. I was 22 when I realized what was done to me wasn’t my fault. Till this day, I can’t speak about to anyone bc I’m still embarrassed it happened to me.

i have been following loren for YEARS she has grown into such an admirable young woman, so intelligent, so sweet, genuinely kind and considering the traumatic way she grew up, this truly shows how authentic and kind hearted she really is in her core. she actually needs to come back to the podcast in the future, we all love her very much!
I honestly used to not like her, of course I was 13 on music.ly and all of my “hatred” was 100% rooted in jealousy as a young girl seeing her and wondering how someone is THAT beautiful. But I was a kid and basically wrote her off because of my own insecurities and basically decided I didn’t like her which is TERRIBLE. Now turning 21 in a few days and watching this and hearing that this girl was going through the same exact thing at the same exact time as me while we were both putting so much pressure on ourselves and our appearance. It honestly hurts me looking back that I wanted what she had so bad but we were honestly the same. She is SO smart, so well spoken and this was such a reality check for me that even now to keep in mind that everyone else is struggling too in some way.
@@leahtorrence5276 I totally feel this and I think it’s the result of a society that loves to pit women (or even young girls) against each other based on beauty - it’s so amazing and healing to see us all come together as adults, overcome that conditioning, and truly empathize with each other. We got here in the end. :)
She's got trauma and when you have trauma it's hard to be in touch with your mind body and soul. So it makes a lot sense when she says she has emotions she just can't identify them
I have clinically diagnosed CPTSD and I genuinely had no self awareness of my emotions until about 6 years ago when I got off birth control and my hormones went nuts. I literally spent most of my life as an NPC. I was not there. It’s very difficult to accept that I became that dissociated from myself
My sister passed away this past New Year. She was only 23. I've never heard of Loren Gray but her stories reminded me of my sister.
Sadly, she also was SA young, in abusive relationships, eating disorders. She was finally healing with her kids. And decided to go out for New Year and was killed by a drunk driver. This broke my heart knowing there are so many young beautiful women who feel so badly about themselves. Please sweet girls Live for yourself, don't try to fit others' mold, you are beautiful and unique. What happened to you was never your fault! 💔🦋

I’m so sorry for your loss and hope you’re able to deal with the grief, I lost many people in 2022 and it’s so difficult but I do feel it gets better.
This was such a vulnerable and sensitive episode. Trish, the way you are able to make a comfortable enough environment to allow for conversations like this, truly shows your skills as a listener and as a host. You are definitely fit to have your own television show one day.

It’s so sad hearing how her parents failed her. Her dad blaming her when she was being taken advantage of by an ADULT? He should have beat his ass lol. I find it so troubling that her parents never put her in therapy when she was a teenager. I hope she receives help, because no one should have to deal with these things alone. Self awareness isn’t all it takes to heal and move on, but it is a huge step. Rooting for her!
When she got to the miscarriage I started crying.. I can’t imagine… God bless this girl
Honestly. This was the therapy I needed. I’ve gone through a lot of the simpler things Loren has gone through. this Podcast has hit me in ways u don’t even understand. And has open my eyes up by a lot.

@@d.2542 I feel like it’s been something that she needed a comforting woman to talk to based on how quickly she opened up. I know Trisha isn’t perfect but I am so happy this young lady felt comfortable in her space to share her story and feel understood and safe.

Did not expect this girl to have such a powerful and at times very dark story. I applaud her for going this deep into the struggles she’s had growing up. I’ve known of Loren because of her huge social media presence but never heard her interviewed before or even speak. I assumed she had this picture perfect existence and huge internet fame as a young girl which financially set her up for life. But she’s incrediby layered and complex and really has experienced much more than most people her age. Also Trish was spot on with the Britney Spears reference, but also Holy Hannah Montana. She could body double for Miley Cyrus circa 2010. The hair, the eyes, the makeup, the whole look. Now I can’t get the best of both worlds out of my head.
so many beautiful girls get bullied about "being ugly," it makes me so sad. we learn to tear people down out of jealousy SO YOUNG. no girls should be told that growing up :( i know now that i am really beautiful actually, like i can acknowledge that intellectually, but i still have serious body dismorphia from it despite that.
I know so many girls just like her. Absolutely gorgeous on the outside but have been through unimaginable situations. She’s a strong girl for making it out especially with all the pressure from the public at such a young age. I never knew much about this girl but I must say she seems so lovely and genuine.

i grew up with loren too, looking up to her as almost a sister (because i’m only 2 years younger than her) and i totally idolised her, she was beautiful and had an amazing job, but looking at her life from her perspective is truly heartbreaking
I know therapy can be a lot to unpack but this is why trauma therapists exist! I would really think about it Loren.

It’s so nice to hear someone talk about short term memory loss. I feel like I’m the only one that has it (dx at 10, as well as “no working memory”) and it’s lonely. I’ve had mental breakdowns over it because I’m terrified I’ll wake up and not know who I am anymore.

I have it because I’m always in my head. I travel a lot and my boyfriend of 14 years has almost perfect memory and he always brings things up that I don’t remember. He remembers names, restaurants, and exact locations. Taking pictures helps but I forget so much

As dark as the subject matter was at times this was honestly so refreshing and I really think Loren and Trisha need more episodes together! I'm so glad Loren talked about her experiences. I have nearly the same story as her (minus the fame and plus staying with my groomer til 23) and her saying "If someone has a lot of boyfriends etc there may be something more to it" so much, in my teens I would post so many raunchy inappropriate things looking for validation or attention because I thought I was an object unable to be loved and sooo many people relentlessly judged and bullied me and I wish people would think deeper about talking about lonely/insecure/traumatized little girls like that
When Loren said im scared to go to therapy that resinated with me so much but then i realised you talking to Trish, was like watching a therapy session, loran i commend you for being so open because it really does help people
Had a similar situation to Loren..in dating a fucking predator (15-20) it’s so crazy their family will thank you for taking care of their predator ass- same shit happened to me.

I have always been embarrassed to tell anyone and now I’m 30 and realize how traumatic & how much that effected me! 😩 I was such a good kid, never did anything bad.. was with that man & then the next guy I ended up 16 & pregnant & still with that guy.. but could never imagine my almost 14yr old daughter being with a grown ass man like I was! This world is scarier than it was 15 years ago. We gotta protect our daughters & children in general! ❤
I totally remember this when she first came out she never showed his face and I read a comment on his page about him dating a 15 year old at 21 and someone saying he likes young girls and she was dating him and he moved in when she was 17. She even made a comment saying he didn’t like his picture taken..and she made a post when people started talking to stop calling her bf a predator everything is legal and consensual. If knew something was up.
I really like Loren, but it's so sad to hear about everything she's been through. So glad Trisha has this safe and open platform for people to share such impactful experiences. Trisha was really born to interview and entertain. I always believed in her but its just so cool to see it actually come to fruition.

I’ve never been a huge fan of Loren (never disliked her, just didn’t watch her a lot) but I’m living for this interview. I think I have to follow her on everything now. She is truly the definition of “don’t judge a book by its cover.” I hate that she had to go through the things that she did. I LOVE that she has always been a fan of yours, I never expected that. i don’t think ed is talked enough about even though i don’t actively physically have an ed now it’s still something i think and struggle with every time i eat. it’s been 4 years and i don’t think i’ll ever be completely over it
I relate to Loren's story a lot. Everything she says makes a lot of sense. She is so well articulated. As someone who's also been through a lot of shit, it is so painful, horrendous, violent, and scary. Acknowledging the things that have happened to you can be so difficult, let alone sharing them. WOW! I was not expecting this dynamic! I don't know much at all about Loren but her honesty, vulnerability and humility was such a surprise. I will definitely be following her more closely. TRISHA, you really, TRULY need a talk show... or a psychology degree. You handled Loren's story so well and gave her so much insight. I'm so proud of both of you and I hope you maintain some kind of relationship with her. This was a beautiful episode.

i loved this interview. Loren and i have such a similar story and im the same age as her and i just resonate a lot with what she said. i was SA’d and miscarried at the age of 14 and fell into eating disorders, drug and alcohol abuse, relationships with older men, domestic abuse, bipolar/ocd father, and now im in a healthy relationship and i just feel so much of what loren described. this episode was beautiful thank you trish and loren❤️

october 2019 was the worst time of my life ever, as well. my immediate family passed away in a car accident. senior year in hs, had to switch schools. my whole life was uprooted from beneath me and all familiarity i knew was gone. terrible time !! i love Loren so much because i’ve always seen myself in her and related to her. she’s such a strong individual for being able to make it thru everything she’s experienced.
You can tell by the middle of the podcast how much more comfortable she got talking to Trisha and wasn’t anxious anymore

Thank you so much for this episode. Trisha, I have been watching you for a LONG time. Anytime you have even slightly mentioned your traumatic experiences, my heart has extended out to you. I feel as if I have been through this internet journey in a way with you and while there have been highs and lows you have always maintained the horribly experiences you've had. While I know you have a hard time remembering details (trauma response), you have always been so forthcoming about your experiences. It is a reason I felt less alone coming forward with my own story. Also, I am from IL too which sucks.
Loren, it was just the other day I came across your Pennsylvania house tour. It was the first time I had ever watched a video of yours. Your name sounded familiar but I just don't think the algorithm brought me your way until now. However, I am so grateful it has. I have LOVED every second of this episode. Your transparency and self-reflection are beautiful. As a survivor myself, I always encourage others to go to therapy but all things happen in the time they need to. Being a survivor is like being part of a club I wish people wouldn't keep joining. My heart extends out to you as well. I promise that talking about it is the most therapeutic thing you can do. When you bury, you are only adding more layers of trauma on top that will have to be sorted through later. I am currently in my phase of sorting through. My ed was directly related to the control I was seeking after being SA'd.
I am not writing this comment from my private account because of the subject of this episode. IT was said by both Loran and Trish that the subject of SA and ED are never talked about but it's also like we're all simultaneously dying to talk about them. That's why me and my friends who I met at S.A. Group Counseling started our podcast. This podcast is a safe space for survivors. It is a safe space for us to honor all parts of our lives - not just the comfortable ones. This is a place where we are transparent about our feelings, share helpful resources and information, work through our own symptoms of traumas, and hopefully spread a lot of joy to the people who sometimes have a hard time finding it. Before we even started to upload I said my dream guest would be Trisha because I adore her but I also know she has had her own experiences too.
I know this was long. I just really fell so in love with today's episode and because my whole life's mission is to destigmatize talking about our traumas and creating more safe places, I really felt the need to comment. Thank you both so much for sharing - the impact it will have on others in unmeasurable. It is one of my life's biggest goals to get onto the Just Trish!

I used to be so jealous of her never a hater but because she is beautiful I always thought that her personality + content was not for me, but she is just so normal, in the best way possible, she is just like a girl who went through so much and so young and it’s sad that I can relate to her so much but at the same time I’m so happy she is doing amazing :,)

Thank you for talking about miscarriage. I’ve had 2 this year as a 21 year old and although it’s a totally different situation than what you went through Loren, just knowing somebody else my age has gone through it makes me feel less alone.
