      as someone who has worked/studied in NYC in the HIV/AIDS field dr drew is kinda... let me just say no actual contemporary HIV/AIDS educator would tell you to DOUBT vaccines... or that men are less emotionally aware than women... i think people need to take what hes saying with a grain of salt

      Too bad he ruined his reputation during COVID. He was suspended for spreading misinformation and anti-vax conspiracies. He was very pro vaccine his whole career, one of his republican friends or networks he works for (fox news) must have paid him off to spread lies. Completely untrustworthy now, and looking quite desperate and phony in this video.

      3 people I know died recently. "Partying" with uppers like cocaine which ended up being laced. It's in literally everything now and NOTHING is safe unless it's written by a doctor and filled at the pharmacy. It isn't worth it. 😕 107,543 people overdosed in the US alone last year. And yet it seems nothing is being done about these illicit drugs. Only more restrictions to chronically ill pain patients that need legitimate medications. This saves nobody and only drives them to take their own life, or to the streets to find relief 😮‍💨 seems like it's all on purpose at this point. They are throwing suboxone at people like candy and not explaining how powerful this drug is and how HARD it is to get off.

Responsibility doesn't mean fault or guilt, right ? It just means having to take care of smth bc no one else will / has to. Its a hard reality but also empowering if we view it from an optimistic mindset. My reality & future is up to me & no one else.

    Honestly this was such a great episode. I’m 34 with 2 kids 6 years apart. My first pregnancy with my daughter was SO hard and that first year was hell. I had PPD and I also struggled to connect with my daughter. It didn’t help I was in an emotional and abusive relationship. I mourn the moments I missed out on with her then because now she’s everything. My recent second pregnancy with my son was so different. He just turned 1 May 7th and I’m blown away how fast this year went and I was actually able to enjoy the moments I didn’t get to with my daughter. Please bring Dr. Drew back on because PPD is something that isn’t talked about enough and is SO stigmatized. Nobody warned me of it when I was a first time mom and it’s the worst I’ve ever felt in my life.

    It’s ok for your child to see you cry and experience real emotions. It’s also ok for them to see you argue in a healthy manner. (Obv not screaming or throwing things.) It goes back to the resilience thing Dr Drew was talking about. It’s about how you resolve the conflict in your argument or how after crying we feel better because we got those big feeling out. Think about how many men don’t know how to process big emotions because they never saw their male role models cry or were told not to cry. Modeling emotions and resolution is our responsibility as parents. 💖💖💖

    • @EmmaAus
      @EmmaAus 3 месяца назад +7

      I do think it depends on the reasons behind your emotions though - I think teaching them that our emotions are our own responsibility, & like Dr Drew was saying, making sure the child doesn't think its their fault/their responsibility to keep their parents happy/stable etc. Basically kids should never be the emotional crouch/their parents main support system, or be made to feel guilt/shame around that sort of thing.... Its the adults responsibility to regulate their own emotions.
      I think the difference lies in making feeling emotion a safe experience, so helping them navigate that in a healthy way - Helping them to understand rather than blaming.
      I think its fine to show yourself feeling in situations that are clearly not the childs fault (& they're easily/clearly able to understand that) - & Also when done in a way that the child isn't expected to "make it better" for them (again if its mutually clear/obvious to the child that thats the case as well)
      The child should always ideally view the adult as their support, not the other way around - I think thats what Dr Drew was trying to say ❤🌻🌈☀️

    Trisha lied about seeing a doctor if what she told Dr. Drew on this episode was true. Why would she lie about getting post-partum treatment/therapy after she had Malibu? Then she went through "post-partum depression" for approximately 6-9 months and no one intervened such as Moses, Lena or Kali? Then she was still actively trying to get pregnant during that time period. Are you serious? Who selfishly would do that if they were already struggling as a new mother?

Already side eyeing them for not touching on how elective reduction is needed for many women, especially the ones who can’t afford to financially or mentally take care of three babies at once. Or how about it’s the fact that humans will human. No matter what society goes through, humans will find a way to behave in ways that suit their own interests. History proves this. There’s always a downfall and then we repeat it all over again. Hypothetically, if there were somehow zero men on the planet, you can bet on it that women would be greedily fighting for power, notoriety & wealth. We’d also be dangerous with the power of beauty and without a doubt would ultimately be killing each other over it all. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

    TRISHAAAA look into a spinal epidural or spinal block. This is a type of epidural they give for C-sections. Its local anesthesia so you can't feel anything but you can still be awake and present during your birth!!! You could also ask them to give you pain meds on top of that ( many options are safe for the baby other than fentanyl) just ask them to start at a very low dose :))
    I am an aspiring doula and is something I want to do one day, help mothers know all of their options during birth. There is never just one!!! So if you don't like a treatment plan, ask the doctor for other options!!! (Also highly recommend getting a doula)
