Ken, this was some GREAT footage, as usual. You were so close to the arch as you were going up on your initial shot! That was very impressive! Keep up the awesome videography!
I'm glad you did this video. I couldn't go to see to it because of my feet. I suffer from fallen arches.....get it? Fallen arches......lol....hello!!!! Tap tap tap....is this thing on????
Maybe one of your best videos to date. Very nice. By the way I was finally able to install HDMI to my remote for my P4. Now I just have to find an HDMI mini. LOL
Ken, you flew through the Arch!!! Holy Crap! Nice job...and the video quality of the P4 Pro is quite evident. I like the way you framed the Old Courthouse Building in the Arch at 2:07...nicely done. Hope you went inside - the elevator that takes you to the top still facinates me, like a catapillar climbing up the inside of that structure - amazing. Question? who did you call to get permission to fly?
that thing is an arch-a-techual wonder. I hope the weather wasn't too Missouri -able.. I'm glad you were able to show me the state of things there...... an arch pun.... Missouri pun... and a show me state pun... that's pun believable
Excellent footage, Ken! A recent march to the Arch made me parched. You will be surprised to learn the secret construction material that keeps the Arch so straight and tall is starch. It's a starch Arch, if you will. Arch you impressed?
Very nice work. How did the Michelin Man get up on top of that arch? And isn't that arch higher than 400 feet? I can't remember. Was inside it once several years ago.
Dude your in my own neighborhood, man it was sure been great to meet you though, you know your fans lol yes ken you have fans that would like to meet you lol
Wish I knew you were in town... would have love to connect and fly or at least write funny pun together. haha. Hope you had a safe trip... catch ya next time maybe I'll be in Tennesee.
leegenix that is a great question! It's also a bit of a misnomer. The FAA allows you to fly 400 feet above any structure and 400 feet away from any structure. This means you can fly up to and then over any structure by 400 feet including skyscrapers mountains and arches. Happy and safe flying!
Ken Heron that's for the time to respond back.i have the Phantom 4 and haven't seen the propellers yet in video until yesterday my 5th time flying it in attitude mode an was windy here too in Minnesota.from what I here the propellers showed up a lot more whither the 3 and below.
This is very cool that you were able to get permission to fly around this. If you ever get up to Washington DC and get to fly some monuments, call me please. I want to get some flight time too. P.S. I was really expecting to see your crazy ass some how standing on top of the arch. lol
Hey Ken. I just ordered my Fat Shark Dominator HD3 (new version) for use with my Phantom 4 Pro Plus. Are there any special "need to know" facts or tips that you could briefly tell me that would aid me in setup and using them? If you have the time, some quick bullet points would be appreciated. Thanks, Jeff
Jeffrey Bank Hey Jeff! there are in fact a few things you should know. First and foremost is that the goggles don't come with a charger for the battery. That you'll have to buy separately. One of my videos has a link to where you can get one on Amazon. They are only about $20. Also if you are nearsighted you will need the diopter inserts in order for it to be not blurry for you. And there is a HDMI share option within the DJI Go app that you will have to click in order food Telemetry to be shared on both the tablet and the goggles. Happy flying!
Thanks, Ken. I think I know about the DJI app, set it to FPV, I believe. I will have to order the diopters because at 66 yrs old, I am very nearsighted. Thanks for getting back to me.
Man, you were RIGHT HERE, and you didn't drop by. I'm a little hurt. Great job getting permission to fly there! Do you go through the park service for that?
what arch ya doing in St Louis MO? and why arch you not at home giving more things away on YT. what arch ya gonna do about it now. how you gonna send me my winnings? LOL Love the video keep em coming "archi" .
hey Ken, great video, looks like you have a few subscribers close by, including myself, I'm planning to film the arch with my P4P this spring, would you be so kind to let me know who you talked with to get permission from? thanks again Ken
Roger Neeb Hey Roger! (Love your icon) I spoke with both local police and a park official. There were other people flying drones, and we all took turns waiting to fly, so we wouldn't risk a collision. Happy flying!
Man this is magnificent flying Ken! Love it! So is this pretty standard for local police or a park official to ok flying the same day? Or should you contact them earlier with a request? And your good at that altitude because your close enough to that tall of a structure right Ken?
Okay my son Joseph has the pun.......since I am hair deficient he pointed at me and said Archubald.............. oh and the lion pun will not be stopping anytime soon in this house.......they have been using it repetitively hold stuffed lions, small figurines, and pointing at the Lion King DVD cover.........gee thanks :)
Arch....Arch...Arch...Archh...." Arnch you gonna ask me which "ARCH" I flew to to day "Olive?" Arciharharrr!!!!!....... "Now where's me spinach, so I can kick some Arches!!!" 😔
Topher, under American FAA Law of Part 107 Certification, you can fly 400 ft over the highest structure within line of sight, as long as you are not in restricted airspace. So, Ken was actually within the law.
Heh. You guys are a great comedy team! I was surprised at that part of the law too, but it's very handy when flying tall structures. I first found out about it in Arizona when I wanted to film Superstition Mountain.
It's great that you had Jared James with you during the shoot! Everyone needs good ARCH support! Get it, ARCH suppo.......
Incredible aerials Ken and one funny guy.
Wow- outstanding!!! Great flying - couldn't have been easy with the winds up there.
Ken, I love you humor and videos! Keep making them..
Fabulous Ken!
I really enjoyed this video Ken, beautiful photography.
Ken, this was some GREAT footage, as usual. You were so close to the arch as you were going up on your initial shot! That was very impressive! Keep up the awesome videography!
Nicely done!
Made me laugh and smile arch you great as always
That was really Awesome! 👍
I Arched over , Laughing so hard. great video Ken
I'm glad you did this video. I couldn't go to see to it because of my feet. I suffer from fallen arches.....get it? Fallen arches......lol....hello!!!! Tap tap tap....is this thing on????
Damn-- you still scare me with those flights! great job!
Very cool!! I drove past it once on my way to Florida in a buddies tracker/trailer
Arch you glad I watch every one of your videos? I'm a huge fan, man! Oregon has some beautiful stuff you can fly through too. Arch ya later...
wow cool!
I've been arching to try this myself!
Is it me or ARCH you the best at making RUclips videos.
This is awesome. Did you try to land on top?
I once walked to St. Louis, and my arches were killing me.
Arch you going to make more videos. ken you are awesome
+Konnor Regan Thank you very very much, Konnor! --I will Ken-tinue making videos! !
Great way to inspect
Sure is
That church up the street had the biggest Arch in St. Louis. Then this one was built and they became Arch enemies.
Gotta watch those props in the shot. 😋
Bobster986 Unavoidable on such a windy day.
Aaaaaaarch Choooooo. 'God bless you'
Maybe one of your best videos to date. Very nice. By the way I was finally able to install HDMI to my remote for my P4. Now I just have to find an HDMI mini. LOL
Nice! Way to go!

Impressive PUNtification there Seth!
arch you glad to give me the drone.
Hey Ken I live in St. Louis hope you have fun here 🙂
Excellent footage, Ken! A recent march to the Arch made me parched. You will be surprised to learn the secret construction material that keeps the Arch so straight and tall is starch. It's a starch Arch, if you will. Arch you impressed?
HAHAAA!!! Funny.
When you were mARCHING up the ramp at the end, were you using the P4 follow mode?
Ken are you ever worried about flying in the wind? because I have a Phantom 3 Standard and I am terrified about flying when it's high wind.
Very nice work. How did the Michelin Man get up on top of that arch? And isn't that arch higher than 400 feet? I can't remember. Was inside it once several years ago.
The arch is over 600 feet, but you're allowed to be 400 feet above any structure.
Cornell DeVille yeah over 600ft
Oh, that's how it works. When are you doing the Empire State Building?
Dude your in my own neighborhood, man it was sure been great to meet you though, you know your fans lol yes ken you have fans that would like to meet you lol
How does one go about getting permission to fly around the Arch?
William Negley You'd be surprised how open people are if you simply ask.
Since the Arch is in a National Park I would think it would be more complicated than that. Did you need to talk to a ranger or site manager, or what?
Do you think the people that design this would be called Architechs?
Ken, have you tried any yuneec drones? Just wanted to know your opinion on the breeze drone. Thanks
michael mcgee I'm not a fan of Yuneec, but the Breeze does look interesting. I'll check it out. Thanks!
Great shot! How were you able to get permission?
Wish I knew you were in town... would have love to connect and fly or at least write funny pun together. haha. Hope you had a safe trip... catch ya next time maybe I'll be in Tennesee.
Ron.M. Davis Hey Ron!
One of these days I'll have that meet-n-greet I've been talking about. I'd love to meet more you tubers like yourself!
was in that town last month. wanted to fly arch, but it was no fly zone. how did you get clearance to fly there?
The arch is right on the border of two classes of airspace.
I had no such warnings, so it most likely depends from where you take off.
Hey viewers, ARCH you gonna SUBSCRIBE to Ken and Jaredj1024?
As always Ken, amazing 😉
Some really nifty flying at the top of the arch
Arch Stanton asked ; "How did you overcome the 400 ft. altitude FAA barrier?"
leegenix that is a great question! It's also a bit of a misnomer. The FAA allows you to fly 400 feet above any structure and 400 feet away from any structure. This means you can fly up to and then over any structure by 400 feet including skyscrapers mountains and arches. Happy and safe flying!
hey that's my home town! well Kansas City is, but 3 hours is close enough. LOL
Are you from the Saint Louis area?
why arch you commenting.... ken Is great!
Arch u glad u did it?
WOW...THATS AWSOME..i did see the propellers a few times though...was that the dji 3?
It's the Phantom 4 Pro. --It was extremely windy that day.
Ken Heron that's for the time to respond back.i have the Phantom 4 and haven't seen the propellers yet in video until yesterday my 5th time flying it in attitude mode an was windy here too in Minnesota.from what I here the propellers showed up a lot more whither the 3 and below.
Your humor is a bit SttttARCHyyyyy! Get it! ha! You can just give me the prize now. no way that gets beat!

Great video! Just curious, do you shoot your video in Dlog or similar then color edit on the computer? The color is fantastic in the video!
WKShooter Thanks!
I don't shoot in Dlog. Just a little color correcting.
Was that an Archy Bunker below?
HAAA!!! You funny Steve.
what are two arches that hate eachother? ARCH ENEMIES
Damn Ken your on my doorstep. My doorstep is 31 miles from the Arch I got a mighty big doorstep hahaha lol.
Nice I flew my drone there yesterday 😁😁
I hope not.
The airspace is now closed around the arch.
@@KenHeron nope, I got permission😁. All you have to do is ask.
@@KenHeron will post the video later 😁
@@KenHeron yeah my video looks really good with this inspire I flew with!.
who did you contact to get permission from?
Wow, 630 feet! It’s bigger than it looks. Who’s that at the top?
Anyone have 4k footage of the arch similar to Ken's but during the summer? Filming a short movie and would love to include it if possible!
How did you get permission to fly there?
I asked.
I did too and they shot me right down. No chance. :-(
Man, you were RIGHT HERE, and you didn't drop by. I'm a little hurt.
Great job getting permission to fly there! Do you go through the park service for that?
HA! --Next time I'll ring you up.
I went through the officials on-site.

Roger Neeb Hey Roger!
(Love your icon)
I spoke with both local police and a park official. There were other people flying drones, and we all took turns waiting to fly, so we wouldn't risk a collision.
Happy flying!
Ken Heron thanks! where did you take off from?
I launch from inside the empty reflective pool. That way, nobody was near it.
Ken Heron thanks
Man this is magnificent flying Ken! Love it! So is this pretty standard for local police or a park official to ok flying the same day? Or should you contact them earlier with a request? And your good at that altitude because your close enough to that tall of a structure right Ken?
God to St. Louis: I said build an Ark!!!!!! Not a Arch!!!!

Very nice curved symmetrical structure spanning an opening. That's what I told your girl friend. :)

"Now where's me spinach, so I can kick some Arches!!!" 😔
Don't be a arch Ken, give me the arch, for arches sake.
How did you get permission? Who did you ask?
+NickPlayz Arch officials and local police.
Ken Heron thanks! Awesome video dude!
It's great that American law now lets you fly upto 630ft. Everyone else is only allowed 400ft
Topher McGrillis got a link to this info? im very interested
Topher, under American FAA Law of Part 107 Certification, you can fly 400 ft over the highest structure within line of sight, as long as you are not in restricted airspace. So, Ken was actually within the law.

Arch u gonna be pissed when you smack your drone :)
Arch you glad you got a P4P?
I'm surprised McDonald's hasn't filed a lawsuit due to this being an arch enemy
I take it since I've never seen that, you have no arch nemesis.
How on earth do you get permission to do this? You must be a wordsmith.
Indeed I is.
Grammar nazis everywhere just had a stroke.
