- An FBI report indicates the number of hate crimes has nearly doubled from 2018 to 2022, with Black, LGBTQ and Jewish students among the most targeted groups. NBC News’ Valerie Castro looks at how violence motivated by bias is affecting more and more students every year and how social media may be contributing to it.

Most of us already know how to respect people.
The problem is you're not doing anything about the people who choose to be mean anyway.
The easiest way to stop bullying is to separate the bully from the rest of the students. Because they're always going to look for somebody to "punish" or harass.
Summarizing,this country is sick.

Hate is Taught
Times are getting worse. Hates crimes increasing also towards people with disabilities.
It used to be just bullying.
But I guess the bully is reading-up on politics as well. Plus, social media basically validates these ideas.

Well if the Media never put it on the media maybe students wouldnt have been in this, I'd blame the media for this, People dont understand that alot of students and kids surf the internet and the media.
I blame stupid people that blame the media for their behavior instead of blaming the people that commit these crimes.
How about blaming the parents for failing to raise their kids right? Seems to me the issue starts at home. It can be solved there, too.
Both of u guys are right, the media over exaggerates things people want to hear. “Cop arrests innocent woman” “Politian accused of crime”. Often, it will blame it on a certain group, “oh, its not our fault, its because the other side did this. They are taking away our rights, they want to make you misrable”. Its also some parents that psuh their kid into thinking that they and only them are right, everyone else is wrong. Everyone has subconscious bias, but it souldnt be to the point where the kid is rambling on about a political or issue when they know little about the subject itself.
"Tolerance and understanding" sounds pretty good to me.
We need to pray away all of this hatred
They need to track which race does the hate against which group.
The FBI already collects data on hate crime offenders.
They know, it's why there are many instances even of law enforcement where they refuse to paper trail those crimes. If we're honest, we all know.

Doesn't surprise me, I always got hated on, in our schools, because I am refugee, from Sudan. My family struggled, too get here, just for me to go to American public schools, I will not lie, I have learned a lot, like I am not, gonna hate anyone, because they hate me! I just have to, work smarter, and harder, and hopefully someday the public school system gets better, and when I say "they hate me", I am talking about, all groups of people, especially black Americans, so I wouldn't recommend public school, too anybody, our country is failing, their teaching corrupt subjects! Its horrible, Joe Biden, and democrats wanna ruin, our country, more than it already is!

The way some people from what is traditionally known as Northern Africa and the Middle East, the way they speak to Black Americans....is considered condescending, at the times outright disrespectful. Many people from the Middle East and Northern Africa have a nasty habit of looking down their noses at other people... especially non-muslims. Just saying.

Trump didn't make anyone racist, he merely condoned them acting out. These same behaviors and people were acting out under Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Ford, Carter and Reagan....Let's not lay this on all Trump. Many of our youth learn their racist ways at their home dinner tables, from their parents. It's just easier to blame Trump than to admit that known truth so that those dark hearts can be dealt with.
