Love seeing old iron like this. Its so beautiful and historic. Remember as a kid 40 years ago, my grandpa taking me to his old farmer mates place who had a huge shed full of vintage steam rollers, tractors & crawlers and pretend driving them lol.

I just purchased one similar to yours, but not as nice. I would like to see how the electric starter is set up.

It is VERY hard to watch someone that doesn't know how to use a manual choke. It would start right up and continue to run if you started with the choke all the way out. Then as it starts to run you SLOWLY push the choke in as the speed of the engine speeds up. You don't keep pulling out the choke and pushing it in (like you're doing on the video). A simple old engine like that that is very low performance should start right away with proper choke operation.

      Thank you for your comment
understand what you mean but this engine is a bit difficult to use the choke on for too long it is easy for it to get too much petrol so they run out of the carburetor.
it is usually not that difficult to start in normal cases and if you heard at the end of the movie when the engine was running it only went on 3 cylinders which turned out to be a spark plug that did not work well.

I know what you are saying about the carburetor flooding with the choke closed, I would think that it would work with the choke partially closed. It is not an all or none control.
