The movie thappad was the reality which women face daily. It was not just about a slap... Basically it was a devotion and hard work which housewife, mother, women does for her family with pure heart without expecting in return the only thing she want is right behaviour and love from her family
No one has a right to slap anybody publicly. A boy doesn't have right to slap a girl in public if she is innocent and not even a girl has a doesn't have a right to slap a boy in public if he is innocent.

OH MY GOD didn't created as much controversy like these movies inspite of having a much more controversial topic compared to these movies which was about existence of God. Guess why !!! Because that was not as big budget movie as these were.
So the moral of the story is there is nothing like actual controversy. For most of these movies if not all its a well pre-planned publicity stunt.
Thats why they say in film Industry. "Any publicity is good publicity" and the business these movies do justifies it!!

I think those films which do reflect the society on specific grounds are criticised more than the films which are baseless or just have a normal love story .

Have commented this many times and gonna comment again... that so called slapping scene of kabir singh in question was done when his girlfriend was literally molesting him. If the characters were reverse I bet everyone would've applauded it saying whatta strong & brave portrayal of female character... no means no and all that blah blah. Of course no means no. And it works both ways. *A woman's dignity got hurt after one slap* ... ummm if she were such dignified then maybe she wouldn't be molesting him in the first place💁. But still that scene somehow presented him as a villain. Whereas she slapped him first and it was shown in a very romantic way... slapped him almost a dozen times in the climax... again romantic plus emotional🙀
The movie, as its name suggests, is entirely shown from the male protagonist's perspective. Agar itni si bast samajh nehi aati then just stick to disney junior & discovery kids. It perfectly reflects that how before the release of the movies there were huge controversies and how the people demanded the movies to not be released but after the release of the movies they were an instant hits.
This just perfectly shows why nowadays we barely get any good hits from Bollywood, its because when directors, producers, actors and many more finally get the guts to release a hit they are in most cases deemed controversial. So why would anyone take a risk of raising a controversy when they can earn with stupid movies with big names.
If we want good movies from bollywood we as audiences will have to encourage good movies and discourage bad ones.

I am extremely happy after those senseless controversies PK made such a great profit which shows India has some people who take a movie like an entertainment medium not a way to arouse political issues.
People in this country are instantly angered when a movie like padmavat that's not even released is speculated to have some romance scenes, even if the director deniad the speculations. Where are these so called pujari, and people who want to secure indian culture when movies project cases in which a girl is raped and married to the same man.
