Usually when Japanese songs changed to English lyrics, they sound weird. But this is so well done! Hope you do more of these in the future!
Actually Blue Bird had a Chinese origin(ruclips.net/video/rjI8FL9HpuE/видео.html), so technically the Naruto version is already a revised cover version(with a new lyric, the original version written in 1997 is kind of a sad and less exicited song). Its author is a composer&singer "well-known" for the cover versions of his songs are always more famous than original version.

I cannot get over how amazing this cover is. So many people try to translate aoi aoi ano sora into something directly about blue. It doesn’t work a lot of times because it’s very hard to change the three syllable aoi to the one syllable blue but how you completely changed it to ‘fly away’ yet kept the meaning is rhythmically gorgeous.

This song is so emotional for me. I first heard it on Mabinogi, and it became my favorite music scroll on there. It just had a way of making me cry. Years later, I was having a rough day, sat down to watch Naruto afterwards, and as fate would have it, it was the first episode with that song.

Firstly, Let me be one of the many commenters to compliment Christia Vee on her excellent singing skills. This is the most emotional version of Blue Bird I have ever heard. But in addition to the excellent vocal performance. This version stands out because it fits so well with Naruto as a whole. The lyrics really fit with Naruto's journey to become a great Ninja. He wants to "soar high" and become Hokage, only to realize how unskilled he is during his first mission to the Land of Waves, but after that continues to follow his dream and by the end of Part 1 is skilled Ninja. After the first chorus, the spirit of unwavering determination reflects his dedication to bring Sasuke back to the Hidden Leaf Village. Perfect Cover of Naruto's most beautiful opening song.
