I agree. Matter of fact, since gasoline prices are now at 5 dollars a gallon, these smaller truck and cars with 4 cylinder engines are what's needed these days here in 2024. They need to be manufactured once again. We definitely need them.
@@danbasta3677 I think the ford maverick is the closest we’ll get. Now if ford can make enough of them. And dealers stop with the crazy markups. That’d be super nice.
@@itgaragebenNot everybody wants a 4 door station wagon truck with wagon wheels and thin tires on it. I sure don't. This little Courrier here is more my speed.
Love it! My dad had a 74 Courier that he drove every day… I still remember the sound of the tailgate chains slapping the inside of the tailgate every night when he pulled in the driveway. Later when I was about 21 I got the truck, put a new motor in it and drove it for work.. until I had a drunk driver turn left into me head on, I clipped his bumper and rolled into a 7-11 parking lot. Ended up upside down hanging by shoulder belts that I had added. I loved that truck.Good times
I love old Couriers. I had a couple of Mazdas when I was younger. These old body styles are just too cool. I would like to have an old school mini truck again.
This reminds me of the 1979 Ford Courier that I had back in the early 80's. And being a Southern California Native it was lowered all the way around fiberglass air dam smoked plexiglass headlight covers and a shaved tailgate. Had a Lot of fun in that truck. And mine was also completely red like yours.

@@itgarageben -- That's true enough, but I usually know when a RUclipsr is going to lower a truck in their video. You kind of snuck this in on your last video of the series. So I watched the entire series only to be surprised and disappointed in the end. Oh well........
I completely agree with you on this. This lowering of these little trucks like this and puttin those ugly wagon wheels and thin tires on them completely ruins them and ruins the looks of them completely. Wagon wheels and thin tires ruin the looks of ANYTHING they are put on.
@@kirkoglesby6175 -- Actually, people in my area never lowered a truck in the 80's or 90's. I've always lived in the rural country and we wouldn't think of doing such a thing to a truck. We wanted our trucks HIGHER for ground clearance, especially 4x4's.
Hey anyone coulda bought it. It was sale for over a month. Wanna do it right? Might need to do it yourself. No need to put HOURS and money into a truck worth 4k when really nice.
Love these little trucks. I was part of the mini-truckin' craze in the 70's. These little guys need to be preserved. Nice ride.
Thanks man! It turned out pretty slick!

The tailgate chains slapping that Japanese metal is definitely a distinct sound!

Yes! It is being enjoyed by the new owner.

Thanks for watching! I just released a new video with a new project car! Check it out!
19:28 you can actually get those at truck stops.
It’ll be sad when it has to go, but you have to make room for new projects
I’m hearting this, but I also hate this. Haha
where or who did it go to? no more videos of it? need a running/driving vid to see it in action
I sold it, and you are absolutely right!
I need to make sure I get some for my current projects!
Hey where did you get those mirrors? Just picked up a 74 myself and want to order the same ones.
They were on eBay, “hot rod mirrors” is how I found them.
Good luck with your 74!!
Throw some sweet Patina Sauce on it!
I thought about it!
I will most likely do something like that for my 59 Edsel!
Just found this, great video and cool truck. Did you end up selling it?
Thanks! I sure loved it!
And yeah, I did I actually had it sold before the video posted.
Sold this so I could buy the 63 Buick special I have now.
