You forgot the island duel of two torpedo boats favors the one fleeing. So basically if you are wrapping the island away from the enemy that pursues you, you will have torpedo and likewise artillery advantage on the lead. The pursuer has the island in the way of their lead.
I’ve been playing destroyers almost since the beginning, and I still go back and rewatch your videos for tips. I consider myself a good destroyer player, but your sense of which way your prey is gonna break is freaking amazing. Thanks for your tips and advice.
I am new to the game and these are incredibly simple and informative tips. I like how you get right to the points and dont waste time in roundabout talk. thank you for this content
Great tips! Helped to improve my game. Went from about 20 000 to 40-70 000 just by applying some of the suggestions. Will master each one in time. Best tip was checking which way the ship is turning via the binocs....lol....so simple!
Thanx once again TBULL. I was just having this conversation in a game with my divisional player. We both talked about how we stink at laying torps in a row and make them harder to dodge. I mentioned after I am going to go look it up I rarely do this. I like to learn for myself the hard way I guess..but I could'nt take it anymore. So now I am going to practice using these tactics. I am also hoping you have a video for the Carriers or at least I mean the Torpedos planes. I never seem to drop them at the right time and they either miss or go under the opponent 90% of the time..lol
Tip number 12. Watch Tbull’s older video on British destroyers and use single shot torpedoes, you can cover most evasive manoeuvres with single snapshots.
Good video, sound advice. I would emphasize, never 100% trust the torpedo aim indicator. For me at least, even if the target maintains a steady course and speed, launched torps frequently buzz past the target's stern, especially at range.
just come across this while trying to find help locating a ship with the fastest torps. feelin now like I may not need to fuss to much over that If I follow some of your tips as I could do ok in any ship that carries then. well helpful and informative mate. much appreciated. I will certainly subscribe to catch more as ive only recently starting playing and in the 3 weeks after that haven't been able to stay away from it! crazy addictive lol
Do you have any experience with the Kamikaze? I'd like to have her, and the Warspite as well, but I'm also keenly interested in the possible German premium ship to be offered soon. Thanks
You failed to mention anything about torp play style low tier vs high tier. Low tier you can do like you say and put a salvo on the indicator and to the right and left. If you do that in high tier...i.e. 5 and above.....you will miss every shot by a mile at range. What I do is if I see a battleship at the end of my arc going broadside.....I put torps out on the other side of my boat.....they have a better chance of hitting that BB
Hi Tbull. How can I convince my father that I should fire torpedos when the enemy ship is within torpedo range? I do know that firing at an enemy ship that is within torpedo range is the right thing to do. But my father says that I should fire torpedos at an enemy ship that is not within torpedo range and I know that it is not the right thing to do and it is mostly a waste of torpedos. I do like your torpedo tips and I thank you for telling them and explaining them.
If the time to target and distance to target numbers at the top of the torp aim indicator are white, that means the target is projected to be within range of the target when the torpedoes get to the expected point of impact. If the numbers are yellow them the target is projected to be outside of the torpedo range
There are times you can fire torps at a ship out of range. For instance say you are in an upgraded Farragut with a 6.5 km detection range and 6.4km torpedo range. If a target is moving directly toward you you can launch torps at 7km to 7.5km and remain undetected and by the time the torps get to the target the ship will be within the range. Its a good technique for US DD's that cant necessarily stealth torp like IJN and you can give some nasty surprises.
Hi Tbull. A player sent me a friend request In world of tanks blitz, then I went to messages and I saw that the player said " thanks for comp!!!". What did that player mean by that? Reply when you get the chance
The console version has the Gremy?!? That destroyer was part of a ship package available to alpha testers of WoWs in 2015. It cannot be bought, but can be won in containers (very rarely). It's regarded as overpowered...
It was part of the founders pack. From what I gather it is OP on PC because of its ability to stealth fire the guns. Not sure exactly how that works, but I don't think that happens in our version. Still a sweet ship
@@TbullGaming Wargaming removed the ability to stealth fire about 2 years ago. So the Gremy has been "power-crept" by other DD's. Whats great about it is the Soviet Stronk lazors that shoot Stalinium shells! Excellent ballistics and firing arcs. And it has good detect-ability. Decent long-range gunboat at T5. In the PC version that is...
Well, it's a hard ship, but once you get the hang out it, it prints credits like a mad man, so I'd say it's a good ship to have bought. The torpedoes are very short range, and are used defensively for ships that are trying to rush you. Ideally you want to be hiding behind and island lobbing HE shells all over the map, and ships will try and sneak up on you. That's when you torp em
...with only a 4-ish km range, Atlanta's torpedoes are pretty much close range self defense only...it's the 16 practically non stop firing 5in guns that make the Atlanta what it is...
@@TbullGaming gotcha ! I started moving around in open see and shooting...and noticed even my wife from home was aiming me. Think I understand now. Thanks
Chris Cowan go into your settings and change your controller layout to 3 or 4 I believe. You’d have to double check but it will mess with some other controls by doing this.
I dont understand how these are tips when you hand picked situations that only worked for you. I do not find torpedoes anywhere near this effective as I have been playing VS AI and players quite often, it really amazes me how great the damn AI players are at not only avoiding incoming torpedoes, but also how they can effectively fire their own while doing evasive maneuvers like figure 8's and shooting/torps on you with damn near pin point accuracy. Human players would be struggling with timers from switching back and forth and steering in real time. Seems the computer suffers none of these penalties and it really pisses me off. Also, the guideline for torpedoes seems to be worthless as a new player such as myself, tries to use that as the aiming device yet it rarely works. Seems I am left on my own to figure out how to ignore that and learn how the torpedoes will really go as I want them without that - which is frustrating in itself. I already suffer penalties from lowest HP/ammo yet it seems the biggest ships in the game with huge guns can salvo you in 1 hit while you try to get torpedoes on them and most of the time even when you get them off, they simply steer around them as if no problem at all. Ive played about 300 total hours on PC and now console PS4 and I've noticed many of the same issues between both versions. Granted I dont want it to be too easy but not impossible either. I rarely can get above Tier 3 as it is because they become so God like at this low level, it discourages me from even attempting at getting higher level where it will be 100 times worse with bigger ships. Watching really good players such as on Rear Adm Jiggles channel is always enjoyable but trying to play for myself it is just discouraging being shitty cannon fodder no matter what type of instance I play - AI/Standard and I wont even attempt Ranked. I've tried watching multiple videos such as yours on aiming/tips but I dont think you understand that you are talking in the video as if the person watching "just knows all the other variables of gameplay you are doing" as common knowledge when it is only known to you but you arent really explaining the entire overview for us to understand everything about what you are talking about.
The chap is explaining the "principles" / lessons he applies. Doesn't need much detail to cover every single situation. His tips have improved my game immensely. Try mastering just one or two tips at a time.....really works!!!!

Nice Tutorials Fella 👊✊👍
Nice. Can you track torpedos in the water (or shells in the air) like you can on PC?
One of the controller presets has the option I believe
At 630, this is probably nitpicking or a dumb question on my part, but weren’t you better off just staying undetected/not firing the guns?
