Shrub Pruning Video Series - Late Winter II

This is the second installment of the University of Minnesota Extension Shrub Pruning Video Series. In this video we demonstrate several types of late winter pruning, including: pruning fragrant sumac for safety and accessibility, renewal pruning of a smoke tree plant that has outgrown its space, and coppice pruning a snow loaded southern bush honeysuckle. We also detail two safe ways to prune using a chainsaw, explain why you'd use each type of pruning, and present a list of common MN shrubs that get pruned in late winter.
