- At a time when people are louder and lonelier than ever, is change possible?
And how can we change when our interactions are more about conflict than reconciliation.
In this Lenten Lecture, Steve explores two meanings of compunction and how, in Christ, change is possible in our lives.
He draws on everything from "Crime & Punishment" to "Harry Potter" and "The Ladder of Divine Ascent" to weave together this talk.
Steven initially delivered this talk at the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New York, NY on March 16, 2021.

Even though I gave this talk during Great Lent, it's something consider all year.
Very much needed thanks, some stickers in the store could "be" nice :D

The Voice of Steve incarnate!
God changes Us, Not because We have accepted Him, But because He First Loved Us!

Les Miserables, The Hunchback Of Notre Dame, The Scarlet Letter are all stories about forgiveness and redemption, also.
The pandemic has hurt me a lot I mean my mental state and being around negative people and a few issues you know what I mean also, I know what isolation is it started when I was a kid by the person who birthed me I'll leave it at that I made the mistake of trying to get the love from. they didn't want it but they weren't through they passed it down to the ones to my siblings and then to my sisters kids I had to take care of and they've kept it going , glad the did, the song because if you sums it up, I just want to be free from this place and free from this mindset that I have that they helped me create
This is why I don't understand Evangelicalism.
They preach Repentance Alone is enough, more than sufficient..
It is Christ who Saves, Heals and Redeem Our fallen nature.
people aren't saved by admitting God exists or by " working on themselves" as on a diet or training regimen.
God accepted Us, not vice versa.
God doesn't need " permission" to save or heal
Evangelical " salvation" is contingent upon " accepting" Jesus.
That limits Him and puts Him in a "box"
Salvation isn't just about being saved from Something...
It's about being saved for Someone!
Saved FOR not just Saved FROM
Salvation doesn't imply Perfect holiness or virtue, as Christians Can and Will make mistakes and be found wrong from time to time.
After hearing This, Protestantism seems vapid and empty.
