I bought out an entire garage similar to this for 1000 and found some amazing treasures and stocked my booth.i made 4x my money and got my investment back quickly.good video
I retired at 40 over 13 years ago ... One mans junk is truly another mans treasure. I have been hooked since the late 70s. My family doesn't complain and my multiple children love the business. 💪😎⚡
The last typewriter is beautiful. The keys are in a different alignment than modern keyboards which is interesting. I know nothing about typewriters, but looks to be an amazing find.
Omg Elliott...too cute for words. I love seeing your booth, really looking fantastic. Some great bits n' bobs found today, those typewriter are so cool. X Always wishing you the best of success my friend. X
I went to one of these “dig through our stuff” sales last weekend and had a blast. Found a ton of cool stuff. I like these way better than a traditional yard sale.
Oh My Gosh Anthoney! You found some truly beautiful treasures! The Victrola is unreal as well as the typewriters. I loved the dust! The Navy sign - $17.60 pay per month - can you imagine! And YAY on the booth viewing - I think that is great money you made. It still surprises me that people are buying records. That was a really nice garage when you consider all the drawers and cabinets and tabletops. Maybe now they will be able to use it.
Adam Monahan You are so right! I recently looked up the base pay I was making in 1981 just before I got out of the Air Force and it was $8600! A person at that grade now is making $34k a year. Much better, but still leaves a lot to be desired!
@@adammonahan687 Now the military has a Thrift Savings Plan, and I would hope the government is doing some matching as they did for us civil servants. I was fortunate that I didn't deploy, but I had a 7:30am till the work was done job, ending up being a 10-12 hour day, 6-7 days a week job. Still, I wouldn't trade those four years active duty for ANYTHING!
The order of those keys on the Blickensderfer... dang! That's an awesome antique typewriter. No jkl; love it. Great job Anthony. I'm a 51 year old that has never seen that. Lol. I just threw out an old Smith corona that rusted in a bin I had outside for 20 years. Dang...
Interesting seeing how it's done in the states , I do much the same in the uk . My sister is married to a American when I visit will look round some yard sales ,best wishes and good hunting to you
Hi been watching you from New Zealand and I yell at TV you missed it when I see something you miss or go passed. Love New puppy too. My son is named after the Texas Rangers show and they have the full series. He's called Cordell. As they either called him Walker or by Indian name. But he was called Cordell Walker. There is one other boy I know off with same name. I have awesome record and tape collection as well as Videos. Still have unit plays both. I have the complete set unplaced Beatles including white album. Plus Thick as a Brick paper album also never played. I used to buy the tape and record together.
Do you come across many legos? I’m real interested in building my collection at 50yrs.old. I lost my 27y/o daughter in 2018. Haven’t found anything that gets me excited or to look forward to. While babysitting a few months back the little boy wanted to play Legos. I am now hooked. Just bought my first creator set and absolutely find it so relaxing. I never knew I’d enjoy legos so much.
I used to live above a type writer repair shop. They told me that when ever you find vintage type writers to never punch the keys on the old rubber. You can break the type faces making it a much more expensive restoration.
$50 is ridiculously cheap. I thought she was going to go bananas (upset) with that offer but gladly took it. Holy crap. Super finds. I hope you didn't feel too guilty.
I understand. The typewriter was an epic find. Those cedar chest jewelry boxes go back to the last 40 through out the 70s. Brass and a lock in good shape they do well. In even purchased one full of vintage MCM jewelry. Everyone has their niche! ✌
Another excellent video. It is like a history lesson, as you explain each item n comps you find on ebay. Years ago I likely had old typewriters etc but I throw it all out. I dont look to sell stuff nor do I do garage sales n I like to toss it quickly. Keep up the great work.
That 2nd typewriter is well over 100 years old. It was made before they changed the key placement to where they are now and have been for around 100 years. Great find!
I love that the Blickensderfer typewriter does not have a qwerty keyboard. What an interesting sale. I would have had to be there for hours so that I didn't leave any box unopened. LOL
Nice finds overall, but dang man, that Blickensderfer is going to be a HUGE home run for you. Can’t even believe you found that, awesome find Anthony!!
To bad it wasn't winter time, the Toro CCR snow blower in that garage is pretty sought after and ranges from $150-300 resell. I picked mine up almost 10 years ago for $10 buck because the lady could not figure out how to start it. Turns out never added oil! I ended up using it for 10+ years worked like a charm and Sold it last year for $100 and was missing the flap that you can bend up and down. Summer time is the best time to buy them when they are not in high demand! Also, good for reselling the parts!! Is your Son Elliott with one or two T's? Our oldest is Elliott! Very cool!
Your patience in dealing with certain people at certain sales is outstanding. Great content as always 👌🏻👍
Thank you!
That last typewriter looks like a work of art beautiful Love it Contats on the Victrola too❤️Yahhhhhhh ✌️💥💥💥
It really is!
While you were digging in that garage, I just kept saying “WOW “. Great finds, that Blickenderfer 7 is the winner! Don’t forget the stickers!!
The little typewriter is awesome.
Thank you for being respectful while "digging" through one's possessions.
3 minutes in and i tell this is a true treasure hunt. I love to dig, open boxes, discover what been hidden away for years or decades. so much fun:)
For sure! I can tell ya, I searched every nook and cranny but had to edit down obviously.
Best of all not a crowd of people to compete with making you say to yourself "Darn I wanted that and they beat me to it!"
@@FroggyFlips What happened to the pocket knife?
Love where your booth is, what a great place!
Thanks!
Those are the sales that you spend some time at digging through everything especially after that great typewriter
No doubt, I had to cut out sooooo much!
When I saw that typewriter, I gasped a bit. That thing is coooool!
It really is kinda breathtaking!
I have a 1916 or 19 royal no cover and Needs a little TLC I think I'm going to put it in scrap sooner or later. Thing weighs a ton.
Just a minute in and I can tell this is my kind of sale.
Yeah! I spent so much time there…I can’t believe I didn’t find more. Can’t complain though!
Motivated sellers. Check their house curbside on garbage day.
Exactly the same :D
The PAINTED recruitment picture may be worth some big money,, usually they're all posters.
💜 love that wee typewriter!

I love the last typewriter…so cool! I don’t think I’ve ever seen one like that before.

I love it when you find a sale with the real old stuff. Ug. I'm screaming...take the cedar jewelry box.
The last typewriter is beautiful. The keys are in a different alignment than modern keyboards which is interesting. I know nothing about typewriters, but looks to be an amazing find.
I wish I saw this video sooner. I’d drive from upstate ny to your antique booth to buy that painted sign.
Quickly becoming one of my favorite channels

Oh, that wooden desk/box is so lovely. The whole place was a treasure trove as is your Antique Booth.
My kind of sale a good ole treasure hunt. The anticipation is what makes it fun.

I really enjoyed watching this one. I love the sales that are whole clearances
I went to one of these “dig through our stuff” sales last weekend and had a blast. Found a ton of cool stuff. I like these way better than a traditional yard sale.
Thats why the wife and I do more estate sales than yard/rummage sales.
Wow, what a fabulous sales floor you have 😮😮😮 Fantastic!
Thanks for the descriptions, I like the way you go to the garage respectfully of the people that lost their family member.
Cool vid
I love that garage I would've probably still been in there

The Lane ones are kind of replicas of bigger ones. If I'm not mistaken they were gifts when someone purchased big Lane hope chest. Lane is the key. !
Great hall! I learn so much watching.
BTW, don't forget to restock the stickers:)
Hahah, thanks so much!

The Blickensderfer is really neat and definitely an antique. The QWERTY keyboard wa invented in 1874 and that doesn't have one. What a find!
