      The bias is usually fairly transparent so I have no particular issue -- here kind of amazing he did not take time to dislike something that is pretty minor in the scheme of things -- so it must be a very good car.

      @LSDOGWALKER 5 месяцев назад +5

      @@briantii I'd say that Savageese is good, but more of a "traditional" review in that they take it on the road and whip them around, whereas AMD only really focuses the reviews on engine,components, what is good and what is not so good. I like a mix of both types, but if I'm looking at a certain vehicle to buy, I'll go to this channel as I can get the standard car salesman pitch/review of features on just about any channel on RUclips.

      @@LSDOGWALKERYeah I hear ya. I do feel like Savagegeese does a good job with reviews in that they don't sugar coat things and I learn a lot about suspension and overall construction from their lift overviews. I do like the mechanics perspective as well.

What can you expect from a car for everyday driving, fur or crocodile leather? :) Regarding the shifter switch: very intuitive switching. If you want to go forward, turn forward; if you want to go reverse, turn back. This control mode is used in many places, for example, on a ship/boat telegraph.

I retired this March. And though I hated to let it go I decided since I didn't need it to go ahead and sell it. Car still looked like new inside and, meticulously maintained. Had 104.000 miles on it. 0 repairs, 0 issues. I sold it for 7500 dollars, and the guy who bought it was super happy to get it. My previous kia spectras were both excellent, too.

The panoramic sunroof is pretty well made I'd say, with the 10 years B-B they'd replace it for free if it breaks down in that period, which I'm happy about. I got a great deal on this, $3500 off. The styling is great, it's not too much, pretty simple design, I'm sure it will hang around better than people think. Too much design would be something like an Elantra.

      @@chibbyylol sonata sel msrp is actually $27,500. It has to do a lot with markup but also availability of features. For example 360 cam, blind spot cam, and HUD are standard in limited Hyundai whereas with Camry, it’s a gamble. In my area it’s rare to have any Toyota vehicle with these features. And when they do, they cost around $43k with taxes and dealership price which totals about $47k, a price of rav4 prime xse lol. With Hyundai, the best you’ll get is $41-$42k with features that are guaranteed!!

      @@chibbyylol They are priced similarly when you fully kit them out. Camry has a lot of packages while Sonata does not. Trim wise, XLE and XSE are not as well equipped as the Limited. Problem with Camry is going to be availability, markups, cheaper materials with worse noise isolation. Both vehicles are super efficient, though I think the Sonata is slightly more efficient at the cost of having less overall power.

    I agree about the shifter. When I saw you shift into Drive, my first thought was turning it that way should be for Reverse. My Mercedes has a very simple lightweight lever that is either moved up for Reverse or down for Drive, because historically that's how it would have operated. Something else that doesn't make sense is to me is, I don't see why Hyundai needs a shift stalk at all when all it has is a twist knob on the end of it. I can't see buying this version as I think when they release a new Sonata the low points of this car will have been updated.

He negotiated it down to like 7K. They would not cover it under warranty. Hyundai blamed him for not changing the oil enough.

    One thing that you keep on harping on is the front end of the car. I own a 2024 Sonata and it is an extremely dark blue, its called carbon blue but it looks black to me. In these colors the front end does not look as busy as you are concerned with. About all you really notice are the slanted vertical lines. The rest blends in so well that it doesn't look busy at all so if someone was to buy one of these I would recommend one of those two colors as not only the front appear less busy but so does the rear. In the rear of the car the spoiler, lighting trim and the bottom all blend in together. I enjoyed your review and I agree with you, I haven't seen a car in it's class that has as nice of an interior as the Hyundai does. Take a look at the dark colors that I'm talking about and I think that you would like it better. I know that I do.

    Kind of a no brainer choice to get this honestly, for me at least. Only car in this segment to have 17 inch wheels on the top trim, which will lead to greater fuel efficiency and least likely to blow its tires on potholes. Plus some of its exclusive features like a power trunk, lane cameras, and colored ambient lighting are nice bonuses as well. The poor shift between EV and gas mode is a bummer, but I’d take this tradeoff. People mention reliability, which yeah it’s true it’s not going to be as reliable as a Toyota or Honda, but German cars are not known for their reliability either yet people still drive them.
