The old M/V Troy Hotard from FMT. Operated this boat some years back before it was sold. Met the buyers/owners when I had them on my boat tripping them across the river below New Orleans. Good handling boat.

Yeppers , Its the best living boat I've ever worked on and gets Shavers biggest tows up and down the river. what it lacks in horse power it makes up with in finesse. 👍

@@capbubba all there eastern boats that was built between 2008 and 2010 was some vibrating sum bitches, but handles real good at lower RPM’s than stumping on the throttles. All the eastern boats built after 2010 was better with the cavitation and ran smoother and they added a little more HP to around 3,000 HP. Yes, a very comfortable boat to ride on.
What they boat guys up there at this outfit that bought that boat? I herd its a very good place to work for. I’m looking to try something a little deferent.

@@capbubba chit, love to get back into fleet work, but I was looking to do a month on a month off because I want to spend time with my younger daughter. I’ve been pushing tow (including allot of tow lining) since I was 16 years old. Lic since 22 as Capt and I’m going on 56 years old. Right now, I’m just taking a little break from the boats.

That may have been my father that you met. Capt. E.R. Kasch. I remember him going to New Orleans at New Years time to test drive and buy a tug.
