- Ryu Tokyo visited Sumida Aquarium, which is located in Tokyo Skytree Town in the Asakusa area. Sumida Aquarium reopened in June 2020 after lockdown, and since July 16th, 2020, it offers two new zones called "Big Schale (Petri Dish)" and "Aqua Base." 500 jellyfish lit-up in a rainbow color at Big Schale is otherworldly and a must-see.
Sumida Aquarium offers an impressive menagerie of sea life, with modern glass habitats that recreate the underwater worlds of Tokyo Bay. Besides jellyfish, the indoor open-pool tank allows you to watch penguins and fur seals go about their daily routines. We hope you'll enjoy the virtual tour with us.

Penguins VS Jellyfish! Which are your favourite?
Absolutely fantastic, looking forward to visiting this place when we come over. Great work again guys! 👍
Thank you 🙏 Yes, it’s definitely one of the best aquariums in Japan 😇
Thanks for showing us around.
Our pleasure! 😊
Awesome video, I love fish and sea life!
Been there 5 years ago, looks like they added a few things. Can’t wait to be taken off the no flight list from USA to Japan.
Oh nice! Yeah, the new jellyfish tank was really beautiful and worth paying another visit! Hope we can start traveling again soon ✈️
The penguin drama was unexpected 😂
