ABOUT HAIRSPRAY LIVE!
Based on the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, "Hairspray Live!" takes place in 1962 Baltimore. Plump teenager Tracy Turnblad's dream is to dance on "The Corny Collins Show," a local TV program. When against all odds Tracy wins a role on the show, she becomes a celebrity overnight and meets a colorful array of characters, including the resident dreamboat, Link; the ambitious mean girl, Amber; an African American boy she meets in detention, Seaweed; and his mother, Motormouth Maybelle, the owner of a local record store. Tracy's mother is the indomitable Edna, and she eventually encourages Tracy on her campaign to integrate the all-white "Corny Collins Show."

It’s not as good at the movie for me because of the casting (I mean come on Zac Efron Brittany Snow John travolta and queen latifah in my preference) but I give more credit for live things because it is harder (coming from an actor) but they are both good

I literally just admitted she has an incredible voice. But when we talk about acting and doing justice to a character, she did not fulfill that. There were defiantly other girls who could have portrayed the role better. I'm allowed to critique this certain production as a devout fan of this musical, and I'm not saying ariana is the worst thing here. Just disappointed in her portrayal

I actually love Ariana but I'm just use to the film is guess but watching this without reading the comments she's amazing in this but when I first saw this alot of people said she sounded horrible and I don't know i guess I just was expecting her to be bad.

oh... it was really good, and then ariana started. i usually like her signing, but this fell flat. lacked the energy that everyone else has, and she seemed really hesitant about every move in the beginning. didn't she grow up doing broadway? shouldn't this be second nature?
