- We absolutely enjoyed out experience at the AKUMAL MONKEY SANCTUARY & RESCUED ANIMALS. It is ideal experience for families; A fun and safe way to contribute to the well-being and conservation of exotic and endemic fauna in danger of extinction.
The Sanctuary is a place where you can find a variety of primates and other rescued animals. From the majestic and iconic Spider Monkey, Lemurs of Madagascar, to beautiful Capuchin monkeys and many more species.
If you're ever able to visit this location please do they do they do care for these animal and rehabilitate them whereas it is the entry fees and donation that assist in the operation of this sanctuary.

Do you get 1:1 interaction with the monkeys at all?
@@jennifermarieethemoneysaver yes you do for sure and also to get pictures and videos. However they are done by the staff to avoid taking your phone in the enclosure and to avoid any form of issue with the animals trying to grab your phone.
