I'm heartened by the push-back against the revisionist history about Columbus, especially from critical thinkers with integrity like Rafael. Being Puerto Rican. he could have accepted the leftist narrative and avoided "woke" ridicule, but he chose truth. I will be purchasing his books in a show of support for his steadfast commitment to actual history. 👍👍
I would have loved if Rafael Ortiz covered his educational background in this interview. Namely, where did he get his degree in history? Does he have a degree in history? Was his book peer-reviewed by other historians with PhDs? He says he wrote his book because he "couldn't find one dubunking the new modern-day revisions." Probably because real historians (with degrees in history) are busy writing books based on evidence and facts. As a Puerto Rican, I am extremely disappointed that this guy is Puerto Rican.

Rafael has been a wonderful indigenous source of sanity regarding the historical accounting of Columbus.

How many historians on Columbus can speak and read Spanish as does Mr. Ortiz?
