- The big drive! This video took forever to edit but it is finally here!
We made the 3,000+ mile journey this May and are so excited to share it all with you. You'll find time lapses of the beautiful Alcan Highway, lots of wildlife, videos of the Alberta wildfires, crazy hailstorms in Wyoming, and everything in between.
This trip took us about 6 and a half days, we spent just North of $2,000 and had the time of our lives on the way. Although you can tell how exhausted we are most of the early mornings.
As always, thank you so much to all of our viewers and loyal subscribers! We have big things coming so make sure to hit the subscribe button to stay tuned. If nothing else, simply liking the video goes a long way for us!
*A couple of mistakes that we, of course, caught after uploading:
There is a clip of Great Falls, MT that worked its way into the Wyoming part of the drive.
We stayed in Dawson Creek, not Dawson City.
Haines Junction is in the Yukon, not British Columbia.
Levi is now tasked with the final watch before upload!

Great job, loved your video, and your moving there
Thank you!
New subscriber. Love your videos. I have gone back and watched all of them. I’m to old to make the trip but am enjoying your new journey and adventures. You go girl.
You are doing a great job videoing and they are getting better every video. Thank you for taking us along. Congratulations on your baby. ❤ I’m proud of you young people. Stay safe and may God bless your endeavors.
Thank you so much!
Wow that was quite the trip! I have been you watching since your little one has been born. I am so glad you guys didn’t run into more problems. That was a long trip! But ya’ll did it and now your cabin is almost built! Amazing. Making dreams come true.
I wish I could like this video a hundred times 😊. All's well that ends well 👍
Thank you so much! This was a fun video to put together.
Omg I am so glad I don’t ever have to deal with Denver traffic again! Hate that highway traffic!
Great scenic tour of Canada and Alaska.
So excited for you guys!!! Thanks for sharing your journey. We have wanted to drive to Alaska for a while and this gives us a good sense of what it will be like. Hope to see you up there in the next couple of years!
We'd love that! Glad it helped, it was an amazing drive!
I grew up in Laramie, so this was like going home again!
you are the first ones too film fsj and ive watched a ton of north runs
Great dogs. GP and is that American foxhound? Your cool factor is off the charts!
He's a Treeing Walker Coonhound 🥰
I liked the speeded up video on the winding roads through the mountains. Cool to watch!
I love Tim Hortons, especially their hot chocolate and chilli meal…it is so good. The donuts are delicious as well
When you get to your destination, you might want to get a catio for Lucy if she isn’t already an indoor cat.
The Watson’s of ‘Home Free Alaska’ had one of their cats shot by a neighbour for some odd reason, the cat had one of its front legs amputated because of the damage. Asher survived but it was close a few times.
So they got a catio for their two cats and attached it to the side of their cabin with a cat door leading into the cabin so the cats can go out to the catio whenever they want.
Good video you guys are doing a great job. It’s good to see you. Got your springs all done and you’re on the highway Good luck on the rest of your trip🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
what can you say besides nice video, glad you guys made it the greatest place ever... ALASKA
It baffles me daily 😍😍😍
So excited for y'all. Thanks for sharing, loved loved
Thanks so much!
Poor Lucy, I have a kitty named Luna and she cried all the way from Colorado to Kentucky. Made for a very long trip lol!
Hope Luna finally settled down. Some cats like the ride while others don’t.
@@brucesmith9144 nope she cried the entire trip lol!
Lucy was almost more comfortable in the camper than the truck lol! Luckily no more long drives for her.
@@beccanlevisalaska a nice wood stove salves any distress she had from the long ride. To a cat, home is where the hearth is.
@@brucesmith9144 we just got a woodstove that she's going to love too!
Wow I can't believe you got searched like that! We drove up and back twice in our shortbus skoolie, last time with a trailer too, and no one looked in either of them, either way. That must have been quite a pain!
Oh you are Moving!! I missed that
Your job at videoing was just fine!! What a grind that drive was. Looks like anyone planing a trip like you just did could learn lots from watching this. Good thing you guys had plenty of tools along and the needed spare parts. Look forward to seeing more!!!
Thank you! That was a big motivator for making the video because when we were researching we couldn't find a lot on the drive up.
Great video! I made the trip in 2008 and look forward to doing it again. Have fun up there.
We'll definitely be driving it again someday!
You must like the cold and snow ❄️ great video. Be safe.
We are definitely winter folks! Thank you!
enjoying your videos! It's a good thing you have family who are mechanically inclined. Kind of eye opening the issues that can come up traveling the Alcan Hwy
So grateful! It's a beautiful drive but things can go downhill quick without much help around.
Awesome ride along :) I love watching all the different people traveling the north, everyone takes pics & videos in different places, Very nice trip, I'm 100% percent off grid here but love to get out on road trips as often as I can :) Great Job !
Road trips are our favorite! Nothing like being remote but nothing like seeing new places.
Just subscribed ❤ Awesome video , Love your editing and beautiful scenery & Wildlife . Love your dogs to. We had smoke here in Ohio from Canadian wild 🔥. We also noticed no bees since these fires, our Roses of Sharon not blooming properly 😮. I worked in Alaska 3 Times .In Denali, Fairbanks and in Willow .
Thank you so much! The smoke was crazy and the dogs are STILL avoiding the truck since this drive lol. All beautiful places to be for sure.
Nice video and congrats on the new addition again
Thank you!
I love everything about this. 👌👌👌👌
Thank you! 🥰
Hi, guys. Welcome to Alaska. I've been here on and off since 2005. Drove up as well. I was excited to see that you had 'ice' in your drink. When I came up, none of the businesses had icemakers. Drinks were cold but no ice. It was kinda weird. That was throughout Canada. I'm moving back to the East Coast of the 'Lower 48' as Alaskans refer to the motherland. Will see if Canada still has icemakers. Lol
Thank you! That's wild to have no ice. Canada was a bit weird for us lol!
the traffic crew you saw outiside fort st john is my work crew .
That's awesome! Man that smoke was terrible and we were in it for about a day total. Good work out there, not everyone could tough it out!
If anyone makes this trip, I'd like to see a picture of Gerstle River. I was stationed at Ft. Greely. I spent a couple of years the the Gerstle River Test Site. It was located at MP 1393. I don't think the Army is there anymore. I think it's referred to as Tower Road now. There was what they called "White Alice" sites back then
i seen the Taylor Bridge in your video. thats my home. the Peace Region of BC is so beautiful. im sorry you had to miss it because of all the forest fire smoke.
Forest fires are the worst but it was still fun to make the drive!
Ok . I guess you did get to see some after the smoke.😅
That's why they are Bison up there. And I meant Yukon earlier instead of N.W. territories.
I'm getting homesick...
3 hrs ! 😂 it used to be 1 1/2 hr to get to Cheyenne. Just found you. This June?
This was about May 20th or so!
What happened to the other pick up that you were driving
We have both of ours here! Then Levi's Dads is running good again and they hauled one up thats a gasser for winter travel. But we still have them all.
Such long drive days!! Ugh. My daughter lives in Canada but east side, Quebec. Smoke no Bueno . So now you are in the truck? I missed something?
I’m curious. Why two vehicles? Excited to see Alaska
We always love a backup truck!
Sittin' by the hiway in a broken van. Thinkin' of you again. Guess I have to hitchhike to the station...
Red Deer, Terrace, and Medicine Hat...
30:50 mark: Just commenting to say that I care. :)
Thank you!!
Now I don’t see where I saw a moving to Alaska? Is this a move or trip?
Sharing everyone of Jesus Christ, He is coming back. We are spiritually saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ our Lord God and Savior.
Amen
To bad you missed all the beautiful scenery so far but N.W. territories and then in Alaska.😢
We were very bummed about Montana, Alberta, and then some of BC being so smokey!
I live in Parker Colorado I lived in Castle rock to I wish I was leaving with you
Possibly but my midwives are going to help me set up a good baby carrier so that I can just have the little one on my chest for any rides. We will try to do as few as possible until it's a little older though!
I want to move there but I have guns how do I bring them with me since they are prohibited 🚫 there I now I can drive to Washington state then take a ferry there to Alaska but it’s not the same as driving there do you have any suggestions. I enjoyed every minute of your trip driving there it was beautiful
We flew our guns up to the family cabins beforehand and then had a family member fly some more up and meet us at the end of our drive up. It's taken a few flights but we almost have them all here! You can also look into shipping them to a gun dealer in Alaska and picking the guns up from them but I am not 100% sure what all goes into that. Certain hunting rifles can be driven through Canada with the right paperwork but we just didn't want to deal with that. All handguns are illegal in Canada and so are things like tasers and mace. We did drive with about 5,000 rounds of ammunition and had no issues with that. If you fly with Alaska Airlines, they are very used to people checking gun cases on flights and are very helpful! You'll want to make sure you are following all the airline regulations though before you check the gun case. It is a beautiful state, I haven't met anyone that regretted moving here!
Please help with suggestions about bringing guns ???to Alaska through Canada 🇨🇦 I tried calling them and they are just jerks to me please any suggestions would be appreciated
@@beccanlevisalaska thanks I know I was in the army now I’m a veteran and want to move up there I have been looking at properties with tiny homes or cabins thanks 🙏 for your help god bless stay safe and enjoy your new house 🏡 stead made some day we will run into each other’s

That drive outta Colorado looks horrible.
Whoever was doing this video, not a very good job. Need alot of improvments.
We're just starting out on RUclips and are always working to improve, thanks! 😊
