People can say what they want to say about Grant, but his knowledge and expertise of hockey and hockey prospects is A+
His sarcasm humor level is also A+.
He is my main reference so far in terms of prospects! Thats why I won't be surprised if Sennecke becomes a points producer beast! Especially knowing that Anaheim is one of the best teams in terms of drafting dating back to Getzlaf and Perry
I can’t believe that he isn’t employed by an NHL team. His evaluations are spot on!!
@@user-fh9bf7uv4l He worked for the Habs in the past. My guess is that he doesn't want to be part of an NHL team anymore and just do his own thing!
I've been following Grant, Rocco and Shayne for a while now. Grant's take on these young players is remarkable and I respect his opinion immensely...
Sennecke…. Grant nailed it
Guys nobody talks about this.. but the Demidov pick was great not only for the quality of the player we got..
I feel like it bought back the unfair pressure that was placed on Reinbacher to live up to the production of a Michkov. This will allow space for Reinbacher to do his own thing as a RHD, at his own pace.
The most underrated impact of this selection IMO.
Giving the facts that one, we wouldn't have had a shot at Levshunov who in my opinion is the only right shot defenseman who was superior or equivalent to Reinbacher in this year's draft, two that he's a year older hence closer to maturity and that fits our timeline better, and 3rd that Demidov is most likely a better overall player than Michkov....id say all that makes it the best possible outcome out of both drafts
great predictions recrutes.... bravoooo
Saku had Burkitt Lymphoma, still very serious stuff. His reception upon return was a tear jerker for sure!
Super stoked about the 2 first round picks for us, wow. I can't believe we got Demidov, I'm pleased with the Hage pick also. He should be a good NHL player someday. Good show fellas! Go Habs Go!
I’m just gonna say it…
Grant is the best !!!
Grant is amazing best guy to listen to on youtube
Chicago blackhawks should've picked 😤 Demidov. What was the reason 3 teams passed Demidov. Is there red flags ❤😮
Chicago needed defence, honestly not sure why the ducks passed on him and Columbus has a terrible time with Russians they can never seem resign them so they picked a western Canadian kid who are pretty loyal which is why the Flames consistently pick out the WHL. But you also should factor in how well each team retain players because that does factor into these picks as well. Obviously being habs fans there are not a lot of players who would decline to play for them (if they are good) but other teams still struggle to retain players even when they a good team.
There no red flags about Ivan the only red flags is those three teams who didn’t draft
@@Whatdoingdog44Word is that Verbeek doesn't like to draft russians, maybe outside of Mintyukov since he was playing in Canada. Also almost every single young guys they have are left handed so i think the fact thay Sennecke is a right shot played a big role
Grant Mckagg has been money over the last 2 years. Actually very impressive
It was a fun draft. Especially for Montreal. Demidov and Hage all the way. I didn't expect to have them both 😆
In 5 years we'll see how these forwards are doing. Celabrini, Lindstrom,Davidov, Sennekee ,Iginla and Eiserman
Interestingly, Habs current centres and future prospects at centre are all right-handed i.e. Suzuki, Dach, Evans, Beck, Kapanen, Hage & Koivu. Exclude Dvorak (leftie) as he will be gone and Newhook (leftie) probably plays on the wing. Having no left-handed centres could be a concern but other than that our depth at centre is impressive.
That is like 3 years in a row (at least since I’ve been following) Grant has been very very accurate with the draft order Sennecke was an amazing riser great job as always Grant and Shayne🤙🍻
Shane it's a podcast. Please read all the names. We're not looking at the screen
Surprised you'd highlight Ottawa there when a Hurricanes team that had none of those high ranked picks Ottawa had, not even a single first round pick, exited Vegas with Badinka, Artamonov, Siryatsky, Fransen & Poirier.
Would love to see Rocco back on for an episode to give his take on Ottawas pick, aswell as the Ulmark trade!
I totally agree that Sennecke is going to be a superstar. This said, with Demigod and Hages, we landed a future Kucherov and a second Suzuki. Good job Habs! It's about time!
Was wondering how I did in the mock, I guess not too bad, hit 7 and got 28 in total for the 1st.
I actually think you’re going to be extremely pleased with Hage. I think he’s going to be really good.
The Snake 🐍 🤣 should be interesting tonight 😊
Okay now next podcast…
Early Look at the 2025 NHL Draft
😂🤷♂️
What if ?
Michkov and demidov on the same line !!!
What if ? Popcorn vs mitcshhhkov !!!!
Bust? Don't know yet.
Lots of good nick names but these are hockey players so it’s probably going to be MJ 😂
Honestly kinda feel like Shane is talking about the sphere over and over just to piss off grant we’ve heard it’s amazing for probably at least 5m of the last two episodes.
is this really montreal? obviously not.
Burkitt lymphoma.... koivu
Non Hodgkin?
I would like to know if Grant thinks Demidovs skating style is something they try to train out of him before he reaches the NHL?
2nd
Habs hire grant
He was already a scout for them
We'll lose him for RUclips and Recrutes though, not sure if we want that. Guy's a great source of information.
Montreal is a Big loser.
