My bro in law is 160 soaking wet , I'm 245 powerlifter. I out lift him in gym 500 club for decades now. He slams me with his 13 inch twig arms. Gets me every time.
I like these! He definitely looks beatable but AW is such a specialized sport that most people simply don't know how to use their body properly to generate force efficiently.
I take MMA so my instant muscle reaction would probably be to dig my feet into the ground and turn my hips and shoulders into wherever I want their hand to go; but that also seems bad for myself because if I don’t generate enough force I’m throwing myself off balance, so it’s a risky play but I’d try it.

This murders the challenger's leverage by forcing them to either extend their forearm or slide their own elbow forward away from their body. I've noticed our "nerd" starts each match close to the front and ends at the back of his pad. Conversely the challengers always seem to end up about to slide off the front.
Congrats for being able to keep people safe, that's not something to take for granted. Those who arm wrestle for the first time don't know that certain positions are dangerous, you kept them safe well done
This guy is an arm wrestler who knows what he's doing and always puts his shoulder and body weight into it. In Australia whenever I tried it I was required to use arm movement only, and not touch anything with the free arm or legs. I always thought it was about arm strength but now I know it is mostly technique and specific training. That's why Devon could easily beat the strongest men in the world who never trained that movement.
I think it’s interesting how I JUST had this idea come to me from seeing that video where someone else does this and some older guy comes in and just dominates everyone they brought to make this type of video 😂. Im so ridiculously happy and i mean every time ive watched Larry pull in the last several months i got a smile on my face cause hes truly a real super heavyweight armwrestler! Gone are the days when he only had his strength, and not being able to access much of it at that! Larry learns in a way i empathize with. He had 0 confidence and made tons of mistakes until he had a comprehensive and deep understanding of his leverages, strengths, the fundamentals, and proper techniques etc. When his body and mind understood, the confidence came and now everyone is like "larrys a beast" cause believe me larry is a killer right now and hes only gonna get nastier. He'll be an elite, its only a matter of time and its not too far off.
@@raindropcleaners well they live an hour apart now so I’m sure they have pulled, and if they haven’t then I’m sure they will start soon. Larry can also easily train at mendes gym in LA or at Allen Fishers gym in San Diego. Moving to LA was a great move for his arm wrestling career.

My then-115 lb. mom was always a very good arm wrestler. about 10 yrs ago, when I was about 43 and she was about 73, I had to go at about 97% to beat her, and I remember in my teenage years, I couldn't beat her. She's in a home now and weighs about 85 lbs. a few mos back, I asked the nurse (a very tough/"butch" type) to arm wrestler her. She thought it was "cute," but the moment they locked hands and she felt my mom's strength, her reaction was "Oh, wow!"
