Awesome video man. Almost no other channels go into detail about the bios files only mentioning how to find games which is pretty straight forward, but usually leave out bios files

You should use the steam rom manager to move your emulation games out of desktop mode. It looks much more visually pleasing and you can select your own artwork for the roms also. Makes the whole UI look way better.
So many people put up videos and skip pass so much thinking you know something and then it screws it up but thank you for taking your time way easier to understand

OMGOSH, thank you so much. I had no issued with GBA. I guess cause it’s so small and older tech. But I couldn’t even get Dreamcast to open, and PS3 wouldn’t even show up on my list. I had all but given up. But now everything works.🎉 I’m sure I made too many copies, but I don’t care LOL I was not going to rebuy all my games, yet again. Thank you, and good energies your way :D

Thanks for confirming this approach. I thought this was the issue but i was reluctant on extracting the files from the 7zip folders when some of the other Bios 7zip folders worked while in the zip folders. Thanks!

Thank you so much 🙏🏼 I did everything pretty much as they said but because I didn't do it from a USB or SD it make it a little complicated. I downloaded everything including roms directly from the deck so I had to manually put everything in their right files. I had the roms in the right place but didn't add the bios. Once I did as you did it worked great thank you 🙏🏼
This is the most useful tutorial because the majority of jackasses just said throw the bios the bios folder. Yuzu doesn't even use bios, and I don't even know where to put bios for Retroarch. Most of the Emudeck guide on RUclips are basically useless.

The fact that emudeck doesn't download a bios for duckstation seems like a massive oversight to me. I spent the past hour looking everywhere for why it wouldn't work
The only reason EmuDeck is legal is because it was built from the ground up without any reused code or copyrighted material. If they provided the bios with the program, that would be copyrighted content and they’d almost definitely get sued by whoever owns the bios they included.
This is NEW INFORMATION! I cannot wait to go home and see if I can get GTA3 and other games from my youth to run. I'm crossing my fingers, I will be back with results! Also, I laughed a good one at the Barbie game LOL

Yeah, it took me so long to get all the roms and transfer them to an sd then get them to work. My entire rom collection was on an old computer so I had to start from scratch. Days later I have it all working
I don’t get it. I am stuck in the part where I have to transfer the Playsattion 2 bios folder. I just don’t see that same folder anywhere in that section so I can’t do it. Edit: Actually neverrmind I found the folder that I need it. But unfortunately I continue it doing what you said and it doesn’t work still. It does tell me that I have the bios well now but for some reason the screen just ends up black and nothing shows up.
I wish I’d found this a few days ago. I struggled for days, wondering why my games weren’t working. And like you said, nobody is talking about it. I finally found a clue in a RUclips comment … obscure right? Wondering if you can do a video on “keys” for Wii U games? I haven’t tried these yet, but I know they need keys rather than bios. I do know you’re very restricted in what you can say, but even a general direction would be great. Thanks!

Great information, I was loosing my mind trying to get things like ps1, saturn and other newer systems up and running, Japanese ps1 games game me bios issues, I guess it defaults to a NTSC-U bios but I'm going to get pal & NTSC-J bios files now and drop em' in the folder
The only one I'm confused about is dreamcast games, because they come in several files, do I need to dump the whole folder or just the files inside because audio tracks can be named they same thing across different games.
But, with the multiple BIOS that you would need for each of the emulators, would it confuse them seeing as all of those files would be scattered about in that folder?
If nintendo, sega etc released their own emulators with the ability to rip original old discs or sell the roms/ISOs online they would make a killig. Clearly a demand not being fullfilled.
Plus all movies music and games should have the same shelf life as patents. After 25 30 years it becomes public domain. It would also encourage studios to keep creating new IPs.
Honestly I feel super lost and I'm not sure what to do for roms downloads and bios and how emudeck sets up emulators. It's such a new way to do anything. I use to just download stuff to my phone not wven worrying about bios.
I want to set up roms to play like Super Mario Sunshine so I can play something offline. I have a 128GB sd card and it didn't format when I installed Emudeck so that's installed on internal

I'm livid pissed rn. On the VERY LAST STEP and the emulator needed to run the fucking rom isn't showing up when you click "add non steam game to library" its as if I'm being punished for my past life or something
I've got the Bios and roms installed... but haven't figured out how to get the emu deck to run in gaming mode! LOL. Would be easier to figure out but the WiFi at my place I live? Steam deck auto-kicks itself off. Questionable internet connection with MY Motel. But I think I figured out the problem and just need to go to public access with a 'clean' internet connection to get the LAST step done which is to set up Emu deck to run in GAME MODE...
