Ulle+TT=Awesome! The best allrounder ever, especially in TT. In terms of body positioning on the bike, power and huge stamina he was unique, pure class. Grace and power at it's best. No one compares to him. More than anybody else he represented the _beauty_ *and* the _easiness_ of cycling. It's a pity, that these times are gone for ever.
I have this race on DVD, and I am SO glad that I recorded it, because this turned out to be the final race of his glorious career. This victory was PURE ULLRICH. The heavens clearly hated him on this day. I mean, Jan was at 3rd place overall and had some time to make up. As if that wasn't enough, the sky began attacking him with terrible stormy weather. But, Jan glitted his teeth and soldiered on. This race had me convinced that he would have won Le Tour de France 2006, fair and square.
Thank you! I taped this final stage, and am planning on keeping it forever, for this turned out to be his final professional race. I couldn't believe Jan's misfortune when the thunderstorm began to rage around him and his two rivals, but he won the stage and the overall despite the bad weather. That, to me, was the most Jan-like victory in recent years.
This was his final race, I think, as a top-level athlete. This race told all about what Jan Ullrich was about. He was in 4th, then came back with this stormy timetrial to win the stage & the overall title. I am so, so lucky to have recorded this on my DVD. For a while, I had hoped that he would come back to the race, since Lance, Basso, Vinokourov all came back after a time.
Hey megacooles Video!! Wenn ja, her damit! Ganz viele Grüsse!!
He didn't cheat. Cheating is lying, and you have to be a heck of a good lier to keep lying for an entire decade. Lies have to be followed up with even bigger lies, and it takes a strategist's mind to keep it up. Jan is too simple-minded and too uncomplicated for such an arduous task. He would just just pedal harder than keep up with drug-taking schedules. He also trust people too easily, and just happened to trust the wrong people who too what they wanted from him, and walked away.

Best time trialist ever...Cancellara is great too but Jan had the best style...

Honestly, one of his best performances.
Man, what a mess the 2006 TdF wound up being. I was really looking forward to what Jan could do. Thanks for posting this.
Jan Ullrich 👍 The Best. Jan Ullrich ATAV.

Tour de Suisse 2006 - 9th stage: Kerzers-Berne (18th June 2006) - 1)Jan Ullrich in 38m45s
He rode uphill in the extensions! A pity that he could not start the Tour in that year with two long time trials.
Merci pour le compliment

Was ist denn da so ab 5:22 los?!
I understand you want to retire with that kind of weather :P
look at 4:15 please
