I must firmly disagree with the choice of Michale sheen for the role of Ceaser. Michale is far, FAR to kind-hearted, decent, and genuine to play the role. Ceaser is flat out, without question Evil, perhaps the most evil, vicious and cruel character in the entire franchise of books and films. What you mistake for sinseraty in ceasar is nothing more then charm, guile and the mask of showbusiness. Ceasar was written to be the collective horror of reality TV (and eventually social media) and its dire consequences, which was at its peak in the zietghiest at the time of the books and movies. There is virtually nothing redeemably about Ceasar, I mean NOTHING. He is a parasite for the sake of being a parasite. For all intent and purpose he is the equivalent of the Pink Lady of north Korea, a foaming at the mouth, government loyalist to his core, who knows his role, his place, his power and the rewards of playing whatever fiddle tune his masters demand of him, whether that be sympathy, anger, accusation or admiration, And he is a flawless master of his craft. He is pat sajack mixed with bob barker, governed by the morality of joseph mcarthy. Stanley was a truly perfect fit for this role. But if you had to recast it, the actor must be older, in his 50's at least, must command a presence of both likeability, approachable attractive handsomeness, pugnacious blunt personality and journalistic piercing, and frankly who is a genuine asshole and sadist kept all together with the shell of a decent poised man of integrity and grace, but flagrant ego and charm. I can think of a single man who checks all of these boxes, Rickey gervais. Flat out he could give us the Hollywood sleeze and filth of such corruption and cruelty but place it in the guise of a nice, likeable reality figure. Thoughts?
My nitpick with Haymitch is alot of people forget that the book describes him as having a belly from drinking too much. He seems to keep getting fantasy casted with really skinny actors.

Reedus would be great, except that Haymitch is supposed to be younger. I’d like to stick a bit closer to the actual ages of the characters if possible. As for Snow, Irons is great, as was Sutherland, but there was another face I’d always imagined as Snow, and I can never remember him now that Sutherland’s face is in my mind.
Scar/Hans Gruber as Snow? I'm sorry, I can't see that. I would've casted Jonathan Banks. He's old, he speaks in a quiet voice, but he can be scary as a bad guy.

Effie: Glenn Close (I'm not sure she'd agree to do this, but given she knocked roles like Irani Rael out of the park, I think the eight time Oscar nominee would be a fantastic choice). Hamage: Robert Downey Jr. (While, given RDJ is a recovering alcoholic, the chances of him playing this particular character are slim to none, he'd be the perfect fit for that reason-which is also why he arguably was the perfect Tony Stark). Cesear: Ryan Reynolds (Downey Jr and Reynolds could switch roles if necessary. Having both in the cast is arguably more important here, and both can and will chew up scenery quite well). President Snow: Christoph Waltz (It would definitely be nice to let Waltz have a villainous role that is not a German or a Nazi). President Coin: Meryl Streep (I can't think of anyone else for the equally evil Coin)
I adore Elizabeth Banks’ Effie, but man you really nailed the casting for Effie and Haymitch with Juno and Norman. I love that you don’t go for the uninspired obvious choices, but still pick such interesting actors that would THRIVE in the roles. Well done!

I thought the same thing when HBO started announcing all these spin off shows from game of thrones, I mean House of Dragon is doing well so far but they have like 4 or 5 other projects supposedly in the works. I feel like some of those stories would do well in an anime anthology type series especially after watching "Game of Thrones History & Lore" that were only released on Blu Ray and never aired on HBO.
How could you ignore Eddie Izzard for Ceasar? Just take a look at For the Benefit of Mr. Kite from Across the Universe, and any of his stand-up comedy for why he's a better choice than Michael Sheen.
