@@Caliber8Tools oh wow I'm a girl I don't need these tools. I just want to .take these rivet buttons off of my jeans. Levi made sure they will not come off. 😏😔🙆🏽♀️
This is a perfect example of an Instructional Video, gives basics about rivet guns/attachments. Then proceeds to explain proper applications of when and where to use steel vs aluminum rivets. I now know that I need to go get steel rivets for the application which I need to rivet. Replacing a window Regulator in a Volvo XC70. Thank you, you are a Prince!!
Thanks so much for this video. I've got a small project and I'm learning about self tapping screws and rivets for the first time so this has been extremely helpful in understanding what I need to know.
Thank you for posting this phenomenal video. I recently purchased a solo canoe into which I need to install a removable yoke for portaging. The brackets require installation of rivets to secure it to the gunwale and I've never installed a rivet in my life. I'm now feeling much more confident!
Doing DIY gutter installation on my shed, and it's my first time, so I just bought a rivet gun yesterday thinking it would solve the last of my problems. After watching this extremely useful video, im learning I gotta predrill all the holes for the rivets?! 😭 bcuz the first video I watched, the Ace Hardware guy already had a bunch of holes in a random strip of aluminum. I'm like "wait what 👀 so its NOT like a hole puncher? Or a piercing gun. . .ughhhh 😩" Thank you for confirming in your much needed walkthrough 🙏 And you explain "same size hole for same size rivet being used" 👍 bcuz I have a tendency to predrill a smaller hole than whatever I'm using to fill it
Honestly I’m just happy these aren’t going on 1 squeeze 😅 It always takes me 3 - 5 to get it to snap and thought it was my cheap gun or bad form. Great tip on lining them up and using as supports! And makes the work faster
Thank you for putting this video up and showing these instructions is detailed as you did because now I know what I was doing wrong when I tried to use a riveter Another thing I really appreciated is the fact that all the different kinds of rivets and materials like stainless steel and aluminum in the copper and what applications that you should use these different rivets on very helpful thank you
I wondered what I was doing wrong. You have to keep pumping the handle till the piece drops off! Well, are there air powered guns, as I think my hands will give out on placing more than one rivet!
The minimum spacing between protruding head rivets(round head rivets like the ones in the video) should be no less than 31/2(15.5)times the rivet diameter. For flush head or countersunk rivets the minimum spacing is at least 4 times the diameter of the rivet.
Hello I am trying to find out how I can remove some Reddit buttons off of some Levi jeans. Without tearing up the button. I have tried everything will this help me. 🙆🏽♀️😏

Is there an option so the final revit looks good from both sides?
Yes, they’re called pull thru rivets, PT rivets.

Hahaha, that’s funny. I know the feeling. They do have air powered(pneumatic) rivet guns and electric rivet guns.
Thanks bloke
No prob. Glad it helped.
Nice demonstration mate, does it matter the distance between the holes??

thank you!!!!!!
You’re welcome.
🥱🙄 If you squeeze the handles shut there will be no pressure to change out adapters.
Ok thanks.
How do I remove a rivet that gets stuck inside the gun?
Take a nail that’s thin and long enough and a hammer, stick the nail in and tap out the rivet.
Nice
You didn't mention anything about a rivet's grip range, the thickness of the panels being riveted together versus the rivet's length.
I’ll be more thorough next time. Thanks.
Why nobody shows the gun from the back! what the rivet gun has in the hole behind it
And you have to watch the staff doesn’t hit you in the face when you pop it off
Right.
😂almost made a hole in your finger with the drill
Wouldn’t be the first time, lol.
Great exercise 💪
For sure.
