    • @Hardcastle83
      @Hardcastle83 11 месяцев назад +6

      @@NbaLowlights it makes the dunk look totally different. Some dunks are steeze off 1 foot, some way better off 2 and some depend whether left or right foot was forward on the 2 foot take off. The great in game dunkers like MJ, Vince, Tmac, Griffin, etc did all of the above depending on what fit in the moment.
      I could only ever dunk off a left foot 1 foot take off, but I understand that was totally a weakness obviously.
      That said, with the right cradle gather and rock the baby smash in it could be a perfect dunk (see Dr J on Lakers).

      Would be fun if there's an NBA streetball kind of league. Fancy dunks are worth more 3 or 4 points. Fancy crossovers and passes/fake passes are worth 1-3 pts (3 pt if it's an anklebreaker or you bamboozled the defender when passing). Buzzer beaters add 1 points.

      @@cameronno6039 Gotta disagree on that. 20 years ago there weren’t kids anywhere doing the kind of athletic dunks they do today. Even the McDonald’s All Americans in 2003 who had every game recorded weren’t doing anything like the kids do today. Look at LeBron’s high school All American dunk contest. It would be an 8th grade dunk contest today. Look at the dunk specialists in And1 like Main Event (who was ranked 4th best dunker ever by Slam Magazine) or 50. They couldn’t even dream of doing dunks high school kids do today.

      @JustinBlazzzee 20 years ago, dunks like this weren't attempted. That doesn't mean people couldn't do them. Period experiment in time. It's been about 20 years since we saw people doing 720 dunks. Multiple young people attempt the freethrows line dunk.
      My point being, just because you don't see something, doesn't mean it isn't there. It just means you aren't aware. The human physiology has not changed.

      @@cameronno6039 I get what you’re saying and I agree it’s not that humans just evolved in the last 20 years but take someone like Jason Richardson, for example. He said the first time he ever hit the bounce off the ground and then catch it in the air go through the legs reverse dunk that won him the contest was when during the actual dunk contest. And he’s maybe the second best dunker of the early 2000’s behind Vince. That’s a dunk kids in high school are doing now. Jason was trying it but he only landed it once. By the way, the same has happened in skateboarding. Nobody could land a 720 until Tony Hawk in 99. Now everybody can do it.
