    keeping styling out of this for only enterprise plans is very hurting for us small agencies. I can't believe I can't hide a section in another locale without paying enterprise plans.

      Yes! Are there any plans on making this available for non enterprise as well?

      Initially I had clients interested, but basically Webflow have made the cost prohibitive, so I can't onsell this to anyone. The clients I tried to on sell this to are successful companies, they've all said great idea, but not interested. They've also said all of their French and German clients can speak English anyway.

    Transitioning from Weglot to Webflow for localization services with over five languages incurs a cost of $40,000, which is a staggering $35,000 increase compared to Weglot's pricing. This price hike seems quite excessive.

    I really like the way to modify content for each locale ~ the pricing is the sticking point. You cannot change img assets, or customizing the slug of the 2nd locale without going from the $9, to $29/ month plan.

      Exactly! Webflow is great but even the regular site plans are already too expensive since they don't have localized prices and the dollar is too expensive for many people around the world. Having to pay this much extra for localization makes this even more inaccessible for so many designers and clients. They need to reduce the price and introduce local prices for different regions ASAP!

      Unfortunately... I have a client project that I'm working on that'd have been perfectly aligned with this launch, a website that needed 3 extra languages but unfortunately 3x $29/mo. is insanely expensive, especially when you consider most businesses/clients do not really update their websites frequently.
      I don't know who these prices are targeting since it clearly isn't just me...

      Hi@@hadyhayman - great to hear that you have a project that could potentially use localization.
      Our $9/mo plan includes up to 3 locales and should be enough for your project :)

    It's quite disappointing how the basic feature of having a different font for different locales is only available for enterprise. At the very least, if you ask for an extra 30USD a month for the actual "essential" localization pack, provide these features.
    I do however recognize that this is a new very big feature. Hopefully something will be done about this in the near future.. 🙏

    Love the new Localization feature. Really a gamechanger for building Right-to-left Multilanguage websites in Arabic, Hebrew, and Persian! Companies Abu Dhabi, Dubai, & Riyadh are gonna start loving Webflow even more :)

    The only point they chose not to clarify is that you going to need the enterprise plan in order for you to customize the styling of the localized version.

    About to hit the button and go for it. BUT, are you telling me to add 2 locales to 35 English pages, I have to manually go to 70 pages and right click auto translate on the Body tag for every page? 😫

  • @rpaulseymour

    This should cover Editors, because most designers will not handle translation. Also, you should say that localizing images comes with the MUCH more expensive "Advanced" tier for $29/"locale." Also, surprised to see "Style localization" is for Enterprise? I mean... I should at least be able to pick a custom font, or add one, for a language. Come on 🙄 hope I'm missing that buried somewhere.
    And, kinda absurd that "Automatic visitor routing" isn't included in base, because hasn't that been around since like a decade or more? Don't browsers tell servers, "hey I speak Japanese" then Japanese is sent back? 🤔 Anyway... not bad, but... that price scaling for some features seems nuts. Hope clients can afford this. Will search for how the content Editor works with Localization, too. Not letting an intern login with my designer login just to do translations. Also, translating a page at a time? Why not just do the whole site? 🤔 Anyway... I guess better than Weglot. But... hmm...

    Is it possible to localize only selected pages instead of Localizing the entire website?

    • @Webflow
      @Webflow  27 дней назад

      Yes! You can select the Body on a page to translate text on JUST that page. You may need to create multiple types of components to ensure you have specific languages for each one.

    very sneaky, they leave the publish setting off initially because it's behind another pay wall. Why bother letting me access the feature if I can't publish the changes. Great way to annoy your customers.

    WTF!! We must pay 9$ or 12$ (yearly vs monthly) PER LOCALE, this is an insane price

  • @james1327
    @james1327 5 месяцев назад +1

    And it costs at least $9 a month for this little feature. Unbelievable.

    • @rpaulseymour
      @rpaulseymour 5 месяцев назад

      9 a month per "locale" - max 3. So 3 languages, then $27 a month (full year paid in advance). Yeah. They should be transparent about what's happening "under the hood." Maybe it is some huge server strain for them. But, who knows.
