"We the people" and the rest of the constitution does not protect the rights of several minorities, including LGBT people and immigrants. Basic common rights that the EU have been able to enshrine are not similarly seen in the "land of the free."

Do you wanna talk about how many times Europe failed to successfully enshrine those rights. Our republic started with a much larger and more liberal voting base than any in the world for the next 100 years or more. If you want a new country, be the change you want to see, mount the barricades if you must but just know the success rate on just starting over isn't great anywhere. It took France 5 times to get a republic that stuck, Britain's monarchy just kept making concessions till they could hide in the clouds, the rest went fascist a couple times till we saved their ass and Russia never got it right. We may not be the peak of progress but with work this won't be our twilight hour.

Also, take note that the entire purpose of the show is to have a debate over whether to keep or abolish the Constitution and that the lady probably argues to keep it as well ( 1:07 ). Take that clip as an example of the dramatic takes you can expect to hear in the show rather than an insult to white men.

Incorrect. The Constitution is to protect the inaliable rights and to limit the power of govt. All powers NOT listed (17) go to the states.
