- LG asked me to review their new dishwasher for them... this was a great opportunity to get familiar with a really nice dishwasher. It was a welcome upgrade from the LG Dishwasher that we had... they keep producing great appliances.
Happy to say that we're an LG household!
I have this dishwasher and I'll test it hopefully this weekend.
How do you find it after this time
Bought this LG dishwasher 3 weeks ago. Works awesome, no problems. Cleans very, very well. Made my stainless Kitchen Aide dishwasher that was very expensive, seem like a piece of crap. LG ranks high with Bosh and I have no complaints after purchasing and installing the LG dishwasher.

I do have an older LG that I can quickly add a dish, close the door and will restart without pressing anything! plus food disposer!!!!! we need power, not quieter
Are you still happy with this dishwasher? It has very mixed reviews online. I liked the look of it. Some complaints about not having a heating element for hotter water.
So far so good. I tested this LG quad wash to the extreme and everything comes out crystal clean. I use Auto cycle and clean the filter screen after every wash. Use a tooth brush to clean the bottom of the screen but scrub very lightly and don't press hard. Just rinsing the round filter screen with hot water is not enough. The screen is very fine. I can say that this dishwasher put my very expensive Stainless Steel Kitchen Aide Dishwasher to shame. But so far so good with this LG Quad wash unit.
Mine locked how do you unlock it
This type of dishwasher the Salt is not added to it ?
I can't find a manual on this to tell me why two of those middle lights are flashing and my dishwasher will power up, but won't start. Cleaned the filter, reset. Still nothing. And I can't find the manual. Help!
Manuals are available online. You'll need to have your model number.
Music is very loud and talking is so low I can not hear it at all......
Does it still work? We bought a top of the line whirlpool gold series dishwasher for $1500.. 2 yrs later its completely dead and poor support/expensive fix from whirlpool, not worth it. Looking for a dishwasher that will last 5+ years.
Look elsewhere. Lower rack replaced under warranty due to RUST. Upper rack now rusting, out of warranty (2.5 years old) and the cost - over $200 CAD. Rust! Is this not a solved problem? Our old POS dishwasher lasted over ten years easy and never any rust problems. Forget features, who builds appliances that last?
@@smp22 I got an LG from costco with 5 yr warranty all for $1000. If it does crap out after 5 years thats fine, thats probably a good life of 5 years (2.5x longer than the whirlpool and 50% cheaper). The warranty to extend 2yrs to 5yr is well worth it. If it does break within that 5 years, thats fine they can replace or repair it free.
@@radekw708 we didn't have a Costco membership at the time. Good luck to you, hopefully you get to avoid any warranty claims. Warrantees are fine, I would prefer things just work, period 😊 but that's probably not realistic. Happy sailing Radek.

This model where is the Heating Elament ?
There is none and it does not dry at all. Dishes come out wet, especially the small rack for the spoons and fork, it's so wet that it drops lots of water on my counter when I take it out. Really terrible dishwasher.

My dishwasher won't start. it says C.L which I assumed meant child lock.. do you have experience with the same problem.

I figured out after calling them and someone with an accent heavier than mine asked me if I had the manual. Duh, if I had I wouldn't be calling you.
But, you just need to hold both keys of control lock at the same time until it unlocks.
Where is the control lock and what are the keys?

MrDjmurdock no it did not... sent it over to my parents since LG asked us if we'd like to try the new one... the 3yr old dishwasher is still working great!
Why isn't LG asking us in Canada to test one? did you ask them to participate in the program of some sort?

Anytime I hit the start button the countdown 4-3-2-1 comes on and the cycle never kicks in, anybody else come across this problem, its really frustrating!!!! I regret buying this dishwasher!
What cycle selection and functions do you have selected??
Does it have a dry setting
Yeah, standard dry in the normal setting, but as you can see in the video, there is an extra and night dry setting. I haven't used either as normal takes care of our needs 100% of the time.

I cannot figure out why mine won’t dry!! I’ve tried all the manual says to do & night dry but when I open the dishwasher after a while might, the bright END word is still lit up & dishwasher still makes some noise as if it’s still doing something & dishes are not dry at all!!
@@seyeredits7285 I don’t think there’s only a dry cycle u have to run a whole cycle. If that’s what you’re actually asking 😏
@@seyeredits7285 use the Turbo express & press the extra/night dry for 3 seconds. The dishes will dry but the dishwasher itself remains wet..there is water everywhere, I’m finding this to be annoying.
LG dishwasher are pure crap!! Don't waste your money!!! BUY ANOTHER BRAND!

Buyer beware. Bought this exact model about 2 years and 3 months ago. Worked great until yesterday. Control panel acting up-lights flashings and alarms going off. Research stating this is a common problem and is due to condensation accumulation in the control board. LG demanding a a receipt (which I didn’t keep) before they will repair. New control board costs $170. Apparently the LG reputation is overblown. Live and learn.
I had the same Issue with mine bought it about 3 years old worked great until about a month ago ua usual we loaded the dish washer and pressed on the power button and nothing happend I called LG they told me that it's out of warranty (warranty one year) so they gave me a phone number of an LG out of warranty service technician when I call him he said there is a $100 charge for diagnostics in addition to parts and repairs I told him that is fine I need it fixed. when he came over the next day to check it out he opened the door push the button and it worked no issuse he looked at me I gave him $50 for showing up and he said I don't know what was the problem but if this happens again you are looking at approximatly $280 + tax to replace the board I thanked him and he left.
Five days ago it happened the same thing the power botton is not working again it came to my mind could be condensation issues so I brought a hair dryer opened the dush washer door and pointed the hot air against the power button from inside without unsrewing any srews in five seconds the power button lit and worked again then as an added precaution I made sure that all the screws of the dish washer door are tight from inside, Like you said the cause is condensation. now it's working great.

The same thing is happening to us with this model right now. Seems to be a perpetual design flaw. The vent is right next to the control board. Had to replace a previous unit that did same thing. Will avoid LG until they fix this.
Absolute junk...mine is dead after 3.5 years (plus 2 other service calls) with no power. Also had similar rusting issues as others plus the control panel cracked. AVOID!!

Anyone else have front panel issues with this thing. I have already went through two front panels. Idk what the heck is going on.
Heard somewhere it was from water getting into it. Might be a design flaw
I have this model and it will stop working with flashing and beeping when I hit START it shows count down from 4
I called LG to ask for a service to check my LG but they told me restart it by taking the plug 🔌 off for about a minute and it should do the trick

Does not dry well at all. I have to use a towel even hours after it's finish. REally bad dishwasher. I am returning it and will buy a Bosh.
Both our racks failed due to rust. Lower was replaced under warranty and the upper is rusting badly now. Over $200 CAD to replace. We've had the machine 2.5 years. I wouldn't buy LG again. But, who still makes appliances that last? Anyone?
There is a light next to the clock with a Sun ☀️ picture it blinks, makes a sound and shuts off. Anyone know why this light flashes and then shuts the dishwasher off?
My LG door hinge is completely loose and the door just slams open, can someone help me?
this is the worst dishwasher I have ever had!...and they won't take it back!...I called LG and HOME DEPOT..,I bought this 0n 1/31/19...it's not working!..they sent a repair man ..and it's still not working..,I will never buy LG again!!

You seriously need to fix your audio! There is no reason for the Music to blow your speakers then your voice to be at a whisper at most! Down vote for that reason.
