And then later with the Holocaust, sufferings in the desert/wilderness and the list goes on until today.. What can the reason be??

Thank You Rabbi, In 2006 November Night I was at the Kotel, a limouzine drove up with bride and groom. I wanted to go and dance around the car and give a gift of money to the bride.
A voice in my head said you will scare them and they will call security and you will go to jail. So I didn't. My regret is I cheated that coupe out of a Blessing... It still hurts...

Kavod HaRav, 3,000 Halachot were forgotten after Moshe rabbeinu died. Is there a connection between there being 3,000 reasons behind each mitzvot and us not knowing the reason for the Red Heifer?
