  • Hi guys! Here’s another tutorial for you :)
I love having these seat belt covers on my car. Now, whenever I drive in someone else’s car my shoulder always get irritated. I also think these are a super quick and easy gift for someone. Even better if it’s for someone who just got their license!
Here is the pattern if you happened to make it larger:
Row 1 (both sides): chain 3 to start, 2 dc in the first space, *3 dc in next space, 3 dc in next space, 2 dc in next space* Repeat from ** to ** all the way to the end. The last 2dc should go in the last space
Row 2: chain 3 to start, *2dc in next space, 3 dc in next space, 2 dc in next space* Repeat from ** to ** all the way until end. There should be a space between round one’s beginning chain 3 and 2dc. Place one dc in this space. (refer to video if this is confusing)
Row 3: this is exactly the same as row one!

Thanks for the tutorial! Was thinking of buying some seatbelt covers, but then I remembered I have so much yarn to use up. There really is a crochet tutorial for everything!!

Where did you get your needle? The link to it does not work for some reason. I made 2 but my yarn needles won't fit through the button holes 🥲 Loved the tutorial by the way!

hmm I can't find the ones I have in this video, but I think they were from joanns. Perhaps they don't sell that particular one anymore but if you search "big eye beading needle" that should pop up what i use when I need big yarn to go through a small hole!

So I used really thick yarn. I copied her in the beginning. When it got to the outer square I just did 2 instead of 3 on the corners. I’ll come back if I do anything different on the edges for the button part.

I am trying to make the larger on following your written directions below. Where are they starting from, is this after the magic ring? Thank you very much🙂

After you make the granny squares, whether you made them with more rows around to make them larger or you made more than 4, that is when the description part comes in handy. It’s just explaining how to make the border if you changed anything. If you watch the video at the border part it can help as well!
