Thank you for the feedback. Definitely, the S6 is very practical, great daily driver, and you get that twin turbo V8! But, the rs5, that 8,250 rpm redline…hard to beat. Thanks for watching 👍
Thanks for the feedback! If you can, keep the valved system in the mufflers, you won't have to worry about loudness and your neighbour's. Thanks for watching 👍
I've got a 2018 S6, I did just mid pancake resonator delete and removed the valve in the exhaust. It sounds a lot better than this. Have to say, you can make it sound great for not a lot of money.
Incredibly helpful video! I'm gonna go AWE. My plans are to tune it using Intergrated Engineering, cold air intake through them as well along with the AWE exhaust.
Thank you for the feedback, and that sounds awesome! Btw, watch your transmission (with any tune), the increased HP and torque might but additional strain that MIGHT cause issues. Best of luck, and thanks for watching 👍
Identical spec to mine. I kept the rear stock mufflers and went to a catless down pipe and rez delete X pipe. The sound it's nasty with pops and bangs with no annoying whistles lol
Thanks for the feedback, we were wondering if the whistle sound would be eliminated with an x-pipe. Still might swap out the H-pipe but that uneven airflow does give it that nice rumble and tone. Either way, than you for sharing that and thanks for watching 👍
Beautiful car, great video, great exhaust system but the H pipe doesn't suit it. It's a European performance V8 - not an old American muscle car. Sounds gaspy . I'd be swapping to the X pipe for sure.
Tough choice, both are great cars and have their own unique qualities. As a daily driver the S6 makes more sense, but for a more special drivers car, the RS4 hands down. Thank you for the feedback, and thanks for watching 👍
It definitely opens up the sound, by a large margin! But consider downpipes for a bit more throat, and please keep in mind the x pipe versus h-pipe (two very different results)
Still haven't swapped it in, but if we do you can expect a video to come. Definitely agree that the x pipe would change the characteristics of the v8 sound, tempting, but not an easy swap. Stay tuned and thanks for watching 👍
The days are counting down thats for sure 😢 if you can, now is the time to enjoy the beautiful V8 sound, still so many good options around this era, good luck! Thanks for watching 👍
hey bro im a fan from china. i was really into RS5 after seeing your vid, but my pal brought one and the mugen V8 engine seems not really my favorite sound. i end up buying a sepang blue 2016 S6 last week, after seeing Dallin Sellers vid about his AWE straight pipe S6, the sound was really lika a proper American muscle car. but mine came with Akra exhaust, which i find the sound too subtle for a younster. after seeing you vid im sure i need to get mine milltek hahaha. Love your channel, btw r u going to install downpipe ? will get bigger maybe better sound, please try like 200 or 300 cell downpipe (dont straight pipe it). lets see the outcome haha .
Thanks for the feedback, and that's great to hear you enjoy our videos. The Audi 4.2 in this B8.5 is something special, not sure if it is actually a Mugen V8, although I have heard rumours that it may been derived form their race car, which might have borrowed design elements from the Mugen 🤷♂️ who knows. Nonetheless, congrats on the sepang blue S6! The cars sound great, easy to live with, and there's no desire to get more volume from the engines (for now haha) Thanks for watching 👍
The difference is pretty noticeable between the Xpipe and the Hpipe. However, in person, the Hpipe does have a deeper rumble and you sort of "feel it" more when standing near it. The camera doesn't quite capture that, but I agree nonetheless, the X-pipe is a more refined sound overall. Thanks for watching 👍
There might be a slight horsepower gain with the less restricted airflow but without doing high flow headers, you wouldn't really see any change. The sound is what you want, a V8 with better sound +5hp 😜
Good catch, and yes that's absolutely right. This is a cat back system so not including headers. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for watching and providing feedback 👍
Almost bought an S6 a week ago. Badass cars with a lot of tuning capability! Went with the RS5 B8.5 instead. Was a hard choice.

@@WhyBuy thank you for the video! You and other channels helped influence my decision.
realy you chose the 4.2 v8 over the 4.0 TT v8?!?? why?!?!?

Lol so loud. I'm going resonated because I care about my neighbors and I want more relaxation on daily drives, but this sure looks fun.

i did something similar with an sq7
Great video fellow cowtowner! Looks like you got your rs5 the same time I picked up my wife’s sq5. Both CJP plates lol

How did your build turn out? I also went with an AWE touring exhaust and will have the IE intake in a few weeks.
@@matthewk4497let me know what the intake does for you. I’m on I.E. stage 1 E85…looking to do stage 2 but I.E. claims it doesn’t make any more power?

@@WhyBuy forsure that's the downside of the H-pipe. X-pipe eliminates that weird low end turbo noise.
Switch out to x pipe

Great video. The S6 might be the next car on my radar. Just have to figure out if I really want to let go of my RS4 or not.

that squeeking sounds horible. its a must fix in my book
Considering something like this for my C7.5 S7

Hey. Id really love to hear the s6 with the x pipe. I think it would more of an Australian/euro sound to it. Smooth and throaty
